Joel's POV :

I had my arm around Ellie to keep her steady as She stumbled through the door. Dad was on his laptop but suddenly stood up when he saw Ellie. 

"What the hell happened?!" Dad asked 

I plopped Ellie on the sofa as she passed out and went to grab a blanket, I then came back and put the blanket over her, she slurred a little bit but she was fully passed out.

"She was by the folly, she took a bottle of Vodka and drank it all"

  "Why!? Why would she do that?" He asked me 

"Isn't it obvious" I said while looking at her with sadness.

Ellie's POV :
I woke up the next day, I looked around me and knew I was back home. I had a pounding headache, I groaned as I touched my head.

"Got a headache huh?" I heard dad say

I picked up my bag and went to leave but dad closed the door. 

"You're not going anywhere" dad said.

We both sat on the sofa, me not looking at him - trying to avoid eye contact as much as I could

"So what the hell are you playing at?" He asked me 

I ignored him 

"Ellie why did you drink that much alcohol" 

"It's none of your business dad!" I said while standing up 

"It is Ellie! I'm your dad for God's sake!" He said back 

"You only chose when to be a dad! What about when I need you!?!" I shouted as Dad's face went soft and sad 

"El I'm sorry okay, I know I've not been the best dad ever but-" 

"No, you haven't. At all. I hate you. I hate you I hate you" I screamed while hitting his chest area
Joel walked through the door. 

"I HATE YOU I HATE YOU" I kept saying while hitting him 

He tried to pull me in for a hug but I kept pushing away. But he won. He pulled me into a hug. And I cried into his chest. 

"It's okay, I've got you now, I've got you" Dad said quietly to me 

"I'm really sorry dad" I cried out 

"Shhhh it's alright, everything's gonna be alright"

Once I calmed down I was cuddling dad on the sofa, wrapped up in a blanket as he was stoking my hair. 

"You know I'm always always here right?" Dad said to me 

"Yeah" I whispered

2 hours later. 

"Okay Grace bye" dad said as he hung up the phone 

"What did she want?" Joel asked 

"She needs me to collect paper work or something from the loft"

"I can go if you want" I said 

"Are you sure El?, you don't have to" 

"It's fine, I need fresh air anyway"

I left the house and went straight to the loft. As I opened the door Grace came out 

"He sent you did he?" She asked me 

"Yeah something like that" I replied 

It's behind the bar, lock up after" she said while handing me the keys 

"Umm okay then" I said

I grabbed the paperwork but as I was about to leave someone walked in. Shane.

"Hi El" He said to me 

I froze. I was tense. I was so so scared. 

"I need to go" 

He blocked my way, "I don't think your going anywhere" 

"I SAID I NEED TO GO" I walked past him but he pushed me onto the floor 

"AND I SAID YOUR NOT GOING ANYWHERE" 

We heard knocking at the door 

"El? Have you got it yet?"

"We need to go Nightingales" 

I heard Joel and Dad say 

He got out a gun, "Don't. Move."

Joel and dad walked in as Shane hid behind the door 

"Ellie?" 

"Watch out!" I said as Shane hit dad with the gun 

"Dad!" Me and Joel shouted 

Shane locked the door and turned back to us. "None of you are going anywhere"
