Standing in the direction of the boulder that had been hurled at us was a man. On closer inspection, I could see that he wasn't much of a man, but a beast. I couldn't tell if he was grinning at us, or if he was maliciously staring at us.

"Nice to see you again, Greed," Ed practically snarls. Greed then starts to turn back into a man, and I could make out his features in the firelight.
He had pointed black hair, and dark clothing.
"Nice to see you too, Elric," Greed says as Ed rolls his sleeves up, ready to fight.
"So, you're Greed?" I say despite knowing him.
"Ah, a new Alchemist. Yeah, I'm Greed. I'm guessing you saw my attack on the military, huh? Not many people made it out. At least of what I saw," Greed snarls, and looks at my small figure.
"I would stop looking at me like that if I were you," I say in a warning tone as I sketch a small water transmutation circle.
"Fiesty, huh?" Greed says. I grit my teeth at his mocking tone. "Then I'll just have to test that attitude," he says.
"Don't even think of touching her!" Mason yells. Greed turns towards him, and glares. "What did you just say?" he says, testing Mason.
"You heard me. Touch my sister, and you'll regret it!" Mason says, his voice starting to falter.
"Brother and sister, huh? An interesting duo. It should be fun killing one of you. I enjoy seeing the looks on human's faces when someone they love dearly dies. Not as much as Envy, though," Greed explains.
Naomi was the first to strike. With a large sweep of her arm, Greed was knocked over with a large gust of wind. When he started to get back up, she sent a bolt of lightning into his chest. She kept this up with a straight face, and showed no sign of stopping.
After Naomi was done attacking Greed, she collapsed next to us, heaving. "She exhausted herself," Mason says. I nod, and turn towards our opponent, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Where'd he go?" I ask, whipping my head around trying to find him. My question was answered when I heard metal clashing against a hard object. I turn around to see Ed being knocked over the edge of a cliff.
"Ed!" I scream, running to the edge of the mountain. He hung over the edge, the blade from his arm dug into the rock. "Go!" he screams, and I turn around.
"You humans are always so annoying," Greed snarls, stretching his arm out.
"If you're so tough, why don't you fight?" I shout, anger starting to take control.
"Is that a challenge?" he says, surprised.
"Why not?"
"Alright. I'll go easy on you this time," he says. "But don't be surprised if I end up killing you."

I dash back to my transmutation circle, and get ready for his attacks

I dash back to my transmutation circle, and get ready for his attacks. Mason also runs over, and draws his transmutation circle next to mine.
When Greed charges at us, we both press our palms against the cool dirt and send a large icicle at him. It impales him, but he smacks it from his torso. I make water skim across the dirt, and Mason freezes it. Greed slips, and falls into the fire.
When he emerges from the flames, he had resorted back to his hard skin. He looked exhausted, which gave us the advantage.

        "Um, Cassandra?" Al says.
"Not now,"
"Cassandra?" Mason says, but I don't listen. I could smell something burning, thinking it was just our campfire. "CASSANDRA!" Mason screams, shoving me. When I hit the ground, I could see the cluster of trees on the area caught in a blaze.
"The horses!" Al yells when he had hauled Ed over the side of the cliff. He dropped his older brother on the ground, and rushed towards our horses.
"We have to go!" Mason yells.
"Not until I kill Greed!" I yell back.
"We have no time! We'll be incinerated!" he shouts back, dragging me by the back of my uniform. We mounted our horses, and started to descend the mountain.
Ed and Al soon caught up with Naomi on her horse when we reached the bottom of the mountain. "Why'd you leave us?" Naomi yells.
"If we hadn't, we could've died!" Mason screams back. I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Mason. Calm down," I say in a gentle voice. He looks at me, and I could tell that he felt guilty.
We traveled away from the mountain in search for our lost troops. The mountain glowed an eerie orange, and for a few minutes, we could see Greed's figure standing against the fire.
"There they are!" someone shouts from the mob of soldiers. Mustang and Hawkeye trotted up to greet us.
"Where were you?!?" Mustang bellows.
"My horse got spooked by Greed and ran off. They all came to find me, and we confronted Greed on that mountain," I explain.
"Go by everyone else," Mustang says in a low voice, and we obey, grateful that we had made it back in one piece.
