Love Struck

chapter 5

Still feeling tired and cranky, from yesterdays events , tolu got into the bathroom and cleaned himself, rather effortlessly.

He got out his black expensive suit from his shopping mall sized closet, took his rolex watch worth a hundred thousand dollars,  got his black suede shoe, which was also of a high price.

"I should start dressing like an international business man, now that I have earned it".

He dressed up slowly, put on his custom made ,very exotic..french made perfume.

He sniffed the air satisfyingly, "you are the man", he said to the image in the mirror before stepping out for breakfast and the days events.

Melody was also taking the morning steadily, since she didn't need to go to work early today.

"Now that I have told you everything you need to know, can I have my bath and breakfast ready, please!!".she pleaded with claribel.

who still had an amused look on her face and then she said to melody "you do know your boss, is intersested in you right!, you would have to be stupid not to have noticed that".

Melody tired from this argument, which had been going on all morning,  replied "oh my days!!!!!! Give it a rest would you, I dont care and I am not interested in him".

Claribel laughed hysterically before replying sarcastically.

"Really!!, you aren't, your loss ,but if I do get a hold of that good looking boss of yours....... I would leave you to the thinking".

Melody laughed while looking at her equally hot friend, swing her hips and exit the room, then a thought came to her ,he would obviously have claribel, without question, and she got angry at this thought.

She hadn't seen tolu that morning at all and was wondering what he was doing at the moment, probably with another girl.

Just to quench her curiosity she walked up to the Secretary.

"sorry to disturb you but, has the president checked in or called", she asked.

The secretary replied, "he came in earlier and said he had a personal meeting to handle, I asked him if I could call you in, but he said to let you rest, due to your trip ,I am a bit suprised to see you at work tho".

Melody smiled and replied "I had nothing to do at home anyways".

She had a feeling her notion was right concerning his whereabouts.

Hours later tolu walked into procam, "I haven't seen my lovely looking p.a today" he thought before getting into the elevator, pushed the botton for the top floor where his office was.

Melody could scent her boss before his arrival into the lobby leading to his office.

"Wonder where he got his fragrance made", she remarked before sighting him.

He looked very handsome and his dressing today was like he had attended a very important meeting,  she also noticed he seemed to be in a good mood this afternoon.

"Afternoon sir", she said.

He looked at her directly in the eye, "afternoon to you too, I am pretty sure you would have wondered about my where abouts".

He paused and wondered why he was blabbing already, when she had only bid him greetings.

"It's no business of mine sir, after all I work for you", she commented rather unconvincingly.

"I am not speaking to you has your boss now, but only has a friend".

He smiled innocently and continued, "I was at ibadan earlier,  went to see my parents, haven't seen them in years".

pleased with what she had just heard, and still amused at her behaviour.

she said "thats nice to hear, thought you had gone on a date, but when I saw you, I guessed it was an important meeting".

"Date!, seriously you have a straight forward imagination,  any ways.."  ,he looked around the premises before continuing his statement.

"I would love for us to have that second dinner tonight..". He finished.

"Sure", she said.

"But I haven't finished my proposal, its a good thing you have agreed already", he said.

He smiled at her brightly, showing sparkling white teeth.

Looking at him suspiciously she asked him now.

"What else could there be to this dinner?", diverting her gaze from his ,to the paper work on her desk.

"Well its just that, dinner would be at my residence, meaning we leave work together" he replied.

Smiling shyly she said "you do have a way of suprising me , every time you say something".

she cleared her throat and walked to stand before him boldly.

"I presume this is no longer just a celebratory dinner,meaning you are asking me out on a date", she stated.

A little bit shocked at the sound of the word date, his facial expression changed, like someone who hadn't realised what he was getting himself into.

"I never saw it that way, feel free to call it whatever you want" then he entered his office.

Wondering what the sudden change of mood was about, she got back to her desk.

"Did I go overboard by saying it was a date", she hit her head for punishment and finally realised.

He wasn't one to get personal and she was getting to him, and he wasn't liking the idea one bit. It was good to know he felt something for her and sad to imagine why he felt he needed no one, the more she thought, the deeper she felt drawn to him.
