Love Struck

chapter 7

Two months later, bolu's wedding had gone better than she had imagined.
She was on her way home now in the official car which was given to her last month, a range rover evoke, 2016 version. She loved the car very much, although she did suspect her boss gave her for other reasons.

"What did you just say?", tolu asked his secretary.

She replied for the second time "a lady named vera asked if she could come see you".

Vera was pleased to see how her ex-boyfriend had evolved, being a wealthy business tycoon and all, she looked around the office with pride for this man she would soon reclaim.

"What do you want?" Tolu asked coldly.

Looking at him like she expected to hear something different,"is that how you say hi, to someone you haven't seen for years?. Never mind, I was in abuja, doing great by the way, when suddenly I bumped into an old friend of ours, who told me all about you and what you have been up to".

She paused then continued "so.. I searched on you and was amazed at what you have turned out to be, so I came down to see if we could become friends again or more than that", then she smiled seductively at him.

Trying to control his annoyance at her arrogance, "it's good to see you too, although I doubt I want us to be friends, talk less of more".

He drank the glass of water on his desk, folded his arms and continued " if you do recall after you dumped me, I begged you for days to come back ,but you rejected me and stated, you are not the type to go back to your vomit".

He closed his eyes and laughed quietly.

"So I wonder if you lost your sense of sight and now have a thing for vomit so much, you are willing to look at it".

"I know, you might hate me, but you did love me once and I promise you would again",she said.

She eyed him seductively , deeped her hands into her purse and dropped a card on the table, "here is my card, feel free to call, when you need a booty to grab" , then she catwalked out of his office.

"She must be the most arrogant moron, to actually think I would go back to her" tolu said through his teeth.

Melody saw vera walk out of the office,  and wondered what this sexy lady had come for.

"I do hope he hasn't gone back on his word". She hoped silently.

Two weeks later vera came into the office again. This time she dressed in a very seductive manner. She wore a red expensive mini gown, which covered only her upper tighs and had a slit at the back that stopped inches away from her butt chic, her hair was fully braided and she also put on a red six inches hills, with bright red lipstick, all this complemented her skin tone and beauty. 
"He would be a fool not to have me", she thought naughtily.

"What do you want vera ,I would like to remind you that this is a work place and not a run way , where you showcase your body", he stated irritatedly.

she laughed knowingly and said "oh, I didn't know my body was being showcased, its a good thing you noticed", then she winked at him.

she walked to his side of the desk and sat on his laps, "tell me you don't want any of this and if I believe you, I would walk away".

Suprised at her boldness and the rapid response of his sex ,he tried pushing her away, before she grabbed him and shoved her tongue in his mouth.

The office door opened and melody dropped the paper work she brought with her on the ground, she picked it up clumsily and stood at the doorway speechless, her sight had already gotten a bit blurry, from the tears threatening to surface.

Tolu shoved vera aggressively off his body and tried approaching melody, in order to stop her from leaving.
"This is not what it looks like mel", he called her the nickname he had recently become fund of.

Melody only nodded her head and closed the door.

"That girl should be fired this instant!, who the hell does she think she is!!, barging into your office like that!!", vera said harshly, while adjusting her garment.

"Get out of my office, this very minute while I am still saying it nicely", he looked at her with teary eyes, "do you know what you have just done?, all my hardwork has been put to nothing now, thanks to you".

vera not understanding what he was ranting about said "I don't see what I have done wrong, by the ways she is your employee, doesn't matter what she saw".

Tolu's voice changed now "if I ever lay my eyes on you again , you would regret your very existence, now get the hell out of my office!!!!".

"Suit yourself, for now anyways,  you haven't seen the end of me tho", then she walked out and slammed the door behind.

Melody sat in her office space quietly, after work hours, trying to think good of the situation.

"He did promise to change and he did, what made him go back", she started crying painfully.

Tolu opened the door and walked towards her slowly, he knelt before her and said...

"Forgive me, for not what you think I did, but for what I carelessly allowed to happen".

Melody stared him in the eyes ,"how could you, I was about given you an answer this evening,  you were just this close, yet you fell for another".

Tolu was loosing his patience now, he grabbed her arms and made her listen, "I never participated in that".

"kissing doesn't take only one person", she said shakingly, feeling the pressure of his hold on her arms.

He replied "Yes it does, remember the past I talked about,  that made me become the man I was before I met you".

She nodded and thought to herself,  "I would hear him out this once".

He continued "well she is the last episode of that past, she hurt me badly and I never saw her again,  till two weeks ago when she came here, saying she had heard of my success and wanted to come back to me".

He took a deep breath and continued ," I turned her down and never spoke to her again till she unexpectedly came in today, I did allow her to sit on me, which was a mistake on my part, but I did try shoving her off before she did what you saw and left".

Melody looked him in the eye for a while before saying ,"I know you have tried to change, but I am still unsure on how I would react when next I see another lady with you".

He corrected her " there would be no next time, I promise. I have tried so hard just to earn your trust and it breaks my heart this has happened,  please dont give up on me like this" ,now he was crying while facing the ground.

It was then melody realised how much he had sacrificed for her. She took his teary face in her palms and kissed his eyes, nose and then kissed him on the mouth.

Tolu schocked from this response stayed still at first, before he realised she was finally his ,and he was going to make it last forever.

"Am I forgiven?", he asked.

Wiping the tears on his face, "this is embarrassing you know, I never cry infront of anyone", he explained.

She replied "there is nothing to forgive my love", hugging him very closely, while he was still on his knees.

Few hours later, he drove her home in her car and promised to come see her the next day since it was the weekend.
