Love Struck

chapter 9

Monday was going to be great, thought tolu. He got home late last night after spending the whole weekend indoors with melody.

"Who knew I could have a chance at love again", he thought happily.

He got to into his newly acquired porsche 911, 2016 version. It was navy blue, had tinted glass with black rims. The inside of the car was a total knock out. He drove off in high spirits to work.

Rumours had started going on in procam, in regard to melody taken her personal assistant job ,very personaly with the president. Melody didn't care what they said but she did feel uncomfortable from the glances thrown at her direction , on her arrival to work this morning.

"Mel love, could you come see me in my office", he spoke into the office line.

Smiling she walked in and closed the door, running to sit on him before saying anything.

"You are my bad indulgence tolu and everyone seems to be keeping an eye on me", she said giggling due to the kisses he was tracing down her neck.

"Hmmm!! mel darling,  I don't care what they think, afterall they can't fire me", he said laughing.

"Okay Mr president, lets get to business, what did you call me in for?".

she stood up from him and walked to the other side of the table and sat.

"Why did you have to kill the fun so soon", he moaned playfully.

"Please don't do that, any one might hear you", she was smiling enormously now.

"Okay then, down to business", he took out a letter from his desk and tossed it to her.

She read it and her facial expression, was that of amazement.

" I can't believe this, they accepted your proposal", she squealed and jumped into his embrace.

Tolu hugged her firmly, and was pleased on how much joy melody had given him. This was the first time he had someone close to him celebrate with, since he started the business.

"I believe this causes for an announcement",  she said happily.

Moments later tolu stood in front of the staffs in the general lobby and made the announcement.  Everyone cheered happily and were pleased with the company's new prospects.

Tolu had sent a proposal, to the united states of America's government five years ago,  on a wish to open another procam branch in their country. He was told his company would be assessed over an unspecified amount of time, so as to be sure of how his company would be of benefit to their country and how well the company would grow.

"Attention everyone", he called to the cheerful staffs.

"You all know what this means, I would be choosing four people who would be transferred to the u.s, when it would be opened for business", he looked around and was pleased with the interest in every one's eyes.

He resumed his speech, "since this branch would be the headquarters and I have trust in you all here. I would be heading to the u.s, to lead the second branch in  it's early stages when the time comes.............".

Later that evening, melody was happy she had the right man and the right job, life couldn't be more perfect.

"I couldn't have wished for more", she thought contentedly.

"Mel!!,what's going on in that head of yours," , tolu asked ,when he sighted her infront of the elevator later that evening.
"Me!!!..nothing, was just waiting for the elevator and you", she said looking at him dreamily.

"Should we head to my house this night", he asked hopefully.

"Sorry love, claribels waiting for me tonight.  She would definitely kill anyone that comes in between our friendship", she said playfully.

"And you would let her kill me!!!" He asked playfully.

"Of course not, I would definitely fight for you, but she must never know that", she said.

The elevator door opened , then they stepped into the elevator and they went down.

Tolu got home, exhausted but happy from the days events, then entered his bedroom.

"only if she were here with me", he said.

"Of course I am..".

A voice which he recognised too well said from behind.

"Told you I would be coming back", vera said smiling at him wickedly.

Tolu turned around in shock to see her on his bed butt naked.

"What the hell is the matter with you!!!, and who let you into my house!!!", he asked angrily.

"Calm down boy , aren't you happy to see me, by the ways I let myself in. You still seem to have the habit of keeping your keys under the welcome mat", she said confidently.

" okay, now that you have explained your self, do you mind taking your baggage off my bed. I never knew you fancied working has a prostitute..", he took in a deep breath.

"And so you may know, I am so not interested in paying for a night" he finished.

"Who said anything about payment baby, just hop on for the best ride of your life" she said.

Still not making a move from where she lay, she licked her lips seductively.

"Oh my day's, I can't believe this is happening.  You know what, you can have the house to your self" he took his keys and left.

Melody had just finished washing the dishes before she heard a knock on the gate.

"Claribel, do you mind getting that", melody asked.

"Who the hell could this be, at this hour of the night", claribel said while moving sluggishly to check the gate.

Seconds later, "Melody!!!!, mr cutie is here to see you", claribel said happily while closing the door behind them.

Melody ran out from the kitchen, and was truly suprised to see him standing in the Sitting room.

"I would leave you two love birds to talk", she said before heading for the room.

"What's going on here. Did you miss me this much?" melody asked with a funny look on her face.

He gave a huge sigh before sitting down, melody joined him on the couch.

"I got home and vera was in my bedroom.... lying on my bed buttnaked" he said plainly.

"What!!!"

"You heard me, didn't you?", he said with a tired look on his face.

"Sorry...yes I did... It's just I wasn't expecting such", she said.

"Neither did I. I just got my keys and came down here, hope it's not too much trouble", he asked.

"No it isn't...Wait a minute,  she is still in your house?".

"Well I couldn't drag her out butt naked..I didn't want to go near her, before she comes up with one of her tricks".

"Good point...But that girl is too much and I really do hate her guts" melody remarked angrily.

He laughed...and melody looked at him strangely and wondered what he found amusing.

"Why are you laughing", she asked seriously.

"It's nothing serious, just that i was very scared at that moment, cause I thought you were going to walk into the room and see me like that", he said dragging her forehead to his lips for a peck.

"Ohh, you are so unserious sometimes", She said playfully.

They spent the rest of the night in each others arms, on a spare matress she brought into the sitting room. Her apartment was a one bedroom flat, she also didn't want to disturb claribel and decided they spend the night in the Sitting room.
