Love Struck

chapter 2

Melody just finished university and had been looking for a job for quite a while, her parents were financially stable, but she wanted to spread her wings and fly on her own. she was a beauty to behold, fair skinned , very curvy in a way most men would very much love, average heighted and had a pretty smile that could make you melt.

"But so far this smiles aren't working for me", she said to her self whilst staring at her image in the mirror. She rushed her breakfast and was on her way to attend another job interview she recently saw for a company named procam ,on a job ads on the newspaper.

"God please help me this time, I cant live like this anymore".

She was the first to arrive at procam,  beautifully dressed in a green peplon gown, that complemented her natural beauty.

"Please who is melody", said the receptionist, "you are free to go in now".

Very hopeful and nervous,  she walked into the office that had president written on its door."

"Beautiful office" she said to herself .

The office had a very dominant feel to it, expensive carpet, dark painted walls. She felt intimidated already, then she concentrated on her main objective,  the interview.

Tolu was really annoyed two weeks ago, when his private assistant had called and said, he would be resigning without any explanation. Now he had to tolerate getting a new p.a.

He turned his sit to face the desk, has he heard the person sit and greet.

"Hmmm!, a girl", he thought happily.

when he finally turned to stare at her he was dazed. For the first time in his few years of being a boss, he was lost for words. But being the guy he was , he took control immediately. The interview was done swiftly and melody was given the job.

Melody was really excited, to get the job offer.

"Finally!", She said with much gladness.

"And the pay is also fabulous , i would have a lot of  things settled. Coming to think of it, I dont really know what my new boss looks like, I hardly looked him in the face, any ways my mind is settled", she explained to her friend claribel, who listened to her with great joy.

"Finally you get to be your own woman.... this calls for drinks girl",said claribel.

Tolu still lost in thought, on the lady he had just hired, "I must have my way with that one too, but it ain't right, she is now my employee".

After several minutes of contemplating he figured , he had several other hot girls to cure his thirst on. He wrapped up work for the day. His drive home in his mercedes benz s class series, was always a way to ease him from the stress at work. He slid in the kenny G album, into the dvd player, in his car and cruised smoothly.

He took of his work clothes, asked the chef to get him a glass of apple juice and turned on his massive bedroom tv, switched it to the sports channel.

Several minutes later he decided to check on his new p.a.

Melody was about jumping in bed when her cellphone did ring, she hardly ever got calls, so she looked at the name of the contact which showed president and  thought, "so there's work at night, awesome".

"Hello!" she said to her boss in her best work manner.

"Hey", he said back ," was just checking up on you and wanted to tell you a couple of things I forgot to say earlier. The first which is,  your handset should be on every minute and hour of the day, secondly whenever I need your services you are to come to me asap, I do believe I have made my self clear".

"sir I do believe its not a job where I don't have time for my self, with all due respect you should have mentioned this earlier" .

Tolu cut her off before she could add any more," I believe you seemed desperate for the job, wether I did or did not tell you, I presumed we would still be seeing each other has employer and employee and one more thing , never on any circumstance question my judgement" and he cut the call.

"Oh my!" exclaimed melody, "I cant believe my first real job, happens to have an asshole for a boss, but I would be damned to lose it, worse days ahead" she said while climbing into bed with slight annoyance.
