Dave and his girlfriend walked down the hall. They were lucky enough to be in the same school. Dave had told her once that his ex-girlfriend had went to a different school. And that happened to be one of the reasons they spilt. So, you could say they were lucky- getting to see each other every day. It was a blessing that they never got tired of each other.
Right now, Dave was leaning on the locker next to Y/N's. His head was leaning on the locker, as well as his arm. He was watching his girl switch her books out.
She looked at him, finishing her story, he was zoned out, "You okay? Dave?"
His eyes snapped up to hers and he gave a bullshit smile. Y/N could see through it, even though he replied with, "Yeah. I'm fine."
She placed her hand on his wrist, "Seriously, David, tell me what's up."
His eyes softened and he shrugged, "I'm not sure. I just feel. . . off. It's weird. I just have this feeling that something bad is gonna happen."
Y/N looked at her boyfriend sympathetically. She opened her mouth to say something but he cut her off. "Hey, no, I'm fine. It's alright."
She moved her hand to his cheek and he leaned into it, "You sure?"
He nodded and she told him, "You're so brave and I love you for that."
He rolled his eyes and then impatiently (and awkwardly) bounced on the balls of his feet, "Ready?"
Y/N and Dave had the next two classes together so they always walked together. And today, Y/N had forgotten her english notebook, so they had to make a pit stop at her locker. Not that Dave cared, he would follow her anywhere.
Pulling out her red notebook, she smiled and shut her locker, "Yep."
Dave gave her a small smile and grabbed her hand as they began to walk to class, Dave still feeling the crushing, overwhelming, something-is-about-to-happen feeling.
And it turned out he was right to have that feeling. As the couple started their walk to english, the two meanest kids in their grade stopped them. Ironically, they happened to be Dave's bullies— and Y/N's ex-boyfriend.
Y/N was with him for a year and a half before she found out his true self. She never knew how he was a bully. She never knew that after school he would beat the living hell out of Dave. She never knew any of it. And when she found out, she dumped him.
