Betrayal Poem

Put your heart where your mouth is.

I saw you in the park one day ago while I was walking.

You said that you will be there for me at my judgment and you will testify for me to be free.

To spread my wings like angel.

But you just sat there like silence as bronze.

I walk away with no respect from you.

You stole my life away from me.

I wish it was mine again.

They said he is pulling my leg but why.

I was raised with you as a child.

But now you barely even recognize me at all.

You grabbed my heart from my body and slam it onto the ground like I am your shoe that walks for you.

Like they say that you can’t judge a book by its cover.

I walk off my seat in courtroom to the car.

Freed not by you but by a man that I don’t know at all.

Like he gives me the red carpet treatment.

But you can never hurt me more than you did to me.

Like mom always said that it hurts me more than it will hurt you

Betrayal is never a virtue.
