Cain Dragvern - POV;
"Yaaaaaah!"
Gasps, screams and cries filled the room as the prince fell to the ground. I dragged him across the floor behind me by his hair and I walked to the far end of the room. Grabbing his neck I slammed him against the wall. Clenching my fist, I began to pound away at his vulnerable face. Holdimg onto his collar, I swung him over my head and brought his body down hard on the drink table. The glass jug and cups all shattered and the table gave way, splitting along the centre.
He squealed in agaony as he lay writhing. I picked up a nearby large, ceramic vase and smashed it across his skull causing him to reel from the impact. He stared up at me, face soaked in blood and tears, and began to plead, "W-wait! P-please! No more!"
He waved his arms frantically in front of him.He slowly began to drag himself back in a seated position as I inched forward. Fear had completely overcome him as his human eyes met with my draconic irises. When his back finally pressed against the wall, all colour drained from his skin. I squeezed him by the cheeks and raised his headforcing him to glare directly into my pupils which now harboured killer intent. I exhaled heavily and between my sharpened Draconic teeth one could visibly see my cold breath.
"Let him go!" the Oakhevian guards had arrived on scene with relatively short notice.
"Grand Duke or not, we will be forced to use fatal force if you refuse to comply with orders!" The commander announced.
I released my grasp and allowed my arms to flop down to my sides. As I stared up at the coeling I could feel the beast slowly engulf me. "You could try to kill me, not that you will succeed," I hissed in a guttural growl. I let out a raspy laugh and spun around to face the knights.
They all took a step back, obviously intimidated by me. I was in fact a Wyrmborn after all, not to mention that I helped take down Dulanth the Dark himself. As the Wyrm's influence drowned out my own I felt a painful throb in my heart as if I had let down some one else.
Amelia Cawthorn - POV;
After Cain had attacked the prince I went into a complete shock. I had treated him so cold heartedly for the last day or two and yet out of everyone in this building he was the one to sense my harassment and he threw himself in a precarious position just for me. Now as he faced the guards it was clear to me that he was no longer entirely himself and his draconic half had forcefully wrestled the controls away from him.
"We have to do something!" Sana exclaimed.
Cain dashed forward and with series of erratic movements he downed half of the guards in a matter of seconds. The guards opened fire but Cain dodged the sprays of bullets easily, or rather his vagary motion made it hard for the guards to target him in the first place. He unleashed a combo of kicks and punches on the heavily armored vanguard breaking the forward defense of the small army.
An axe warrior rushed Cain but he performe a double backflip and after jumping off of the left wall he landed on top of a magnificent chandelier. In a flash, he vaulted from his heightened position and drew his whip blade as the guards unleashed a barrage of bullets at him.
Extending his blade, he wrapped it around the leg of the commander. The second his feet reached the ground he spun his body around, swinging the caught knight into his comrades and knocking them all down flat. With a sharp tug, he drew in his trapped foe towards his body and sunk his now clawed fingers into the shaken Knight's chestplate.
"Cain! Stop this!" I screamed. He didn't even flinch as if my voice hadn't even reached him. He held a wicked grin on his face as he glared at the human he now had at his mercy.
I rushed forward without a second thought and wrapped hy arms around his body. "Cain! Please don't do this! If you go any further, you may never come back! Don't just leave me like this!" I cried out. He threw back his free arm and hit me squarely in the chest causing me to be launched across the room.
"Wow, careful there!"
I landed on the ground with a thud and bounced back up but I was caught by someone else. I looked up to see a male with silver hair standing above me. He rest me down slowly and walked forward, drawing a 6 ft. two handed greataxe. It was magnificent with its shining silver build. A chain joined the bracelet around his arm to the base of the weapon's handle obviously to prevent it from leaving his side.
He raised the weapon above his head shouting, "Come now Wyrm, what kind of behaviour is this? Let me show you the taming powers of Eilwyn the Draconian!"
Eilwyn - POV;
I hadn't expected to see Cain's 'Rage of the Wyrm' as I fondly called it. I couldn't help but wonder if my appearence in front of him helped to push him to that point. Either way, I was excited to test out my Soul Chains against him to see if perhaps if my power was great enough to take down one as great as he. This would prove a useful stepping stone towards my given task and goal: To take down Soterios Dragvern.
I still had many questions of my own which I desired to have answered. For one the reason as to why I was ordered to take out the Dragvernborn was not fully disclosed to me. On top of that, my 'client' himself was quite the suspicious character for too many reasons to count. For one he knew too much about not only myself but many other details hidden from the knowledge of the common folk.
In addition, he was very careful to keep his face and identity hidden and gave me only his initials to work with. 'S.A.' is what he had persented instead of a name like a normal person would. There was obviously something else at hand besides what I was given at face value and I was determined to find out what.
"You shouldn't lose focus in a fight. It will only lead to a painful end," Cain hissed into my ear. The boy had zipped behind me unknowingly and slashed at my back with his nails. I rolled forward, barely escaping his sharp talons.
"Heh heh. Sorry about that. Maybe I'll take your advice," I laughed resting my axe over my shoulder.
