"Don't do it brother! This isn't going to fix anything!"
"No, you are wrong. This is the only way!"
"And what makes you think that?"
"I know beings so great whom you can never live to even see."
"Hah. Again with the cryptic messages. This is exactly what got us here! You do as you please and you never confided in any of us! All you did was keep secrets!"
"I did as my duty called for. I must be free of this damnation."
"Hah ha ha ha. Then go ahead. Add me to your kill count and take what I have. I wish you luck despite knowing that you will fail."
"Then I shall gladly pluck your life! Any last words?"
"Yeah. I'd never thought that there would come a moment that my most beloved family member would be my mother- gah. You- dirty- gah. Heh heh. See you in hell."

Cain Dragvern - POV;
"Have you made any progress?" Amelia asked as she entered the library.
"Unfortunately, no," I tapped the desk irritably, "This emblem seems to be either very ancient or very recent. I have been searching through all of these manuscripts, journals and books and I haven't found a single clue or link to the crest."
"You should probably take a rest now. Since the attack you have been slaving over this whole thing and that can't be good for your health," Amelia suggested.
"I need to follow this lead immediately. With each passing second the trail grows colder and colder. Besides, you wouldn't understand but there are reasons why sleeping has become unpleasant for me recently," I shot down her words.
"I wouldn't understand? You should give me more credit than that. Did you really think I wouldn't notice the hesitation you've displayed as of late before laying on our bed or the blood-shot eyes you bear upon awaking? I especially couldn't overlook the squirming, tossing and turning you've undergone while at rest. The only reason I didn't question it is because I felt that you would tell me when you were comfortable with whatever aches you," Amelia stated firmly.
I felt foolish for trying to hide anything from her and thinking that she wouldn't realise that there was a problem. "I'm sorry. I should have said something sooner," I apologised.
"So what is it then?"
I sat in silence for a minute, staring at the paper sprawled over the desk before me. "I have been having very vivid dreams recently. I say vivid but when I awake, only vague details remain in my memory. Although I can't recall exact events, for some reason I know that the event which unfolded make me angry, sad and frustrated....but most of all, I am afraid. It is a fear unlike any I have ever felt before and the worst part is that I don't know why I feel this or what makes me," I revealed.
"Dreams? I.... I'm sorry. I'm not entirely sure about what to say. What I can promise is that I will stand by you during these trying times," Amelia declared.
"That's why you are my Princess. Thank you Amelia," I stood up and embraced the elven girl.
"By the way Cain," Amelia began as she moved back, "have you asked Sirath for help? What is she doing by the way? I haven't heard from her in a while."
"I'm not entirely sure. The last time we spoke was about a month ago. She said she had to do something that left her in some type of hibernation state and she has been inactive ever since," I explained.
