Soterios Dragvern - POV;
"Red hair, red hair," I repeated to myself as I scoured the busy streets around the castle. Surely he hadn't actually entered the Royal Building ....right? I walked around the perimeter briskly but despite my best efforts I failed to see any hint of the Dragonborn's presence.
"Oof, sorry," I instinctively said as I bumped into another pedestrian whom had been walking by. I immediately froze however and without so much as a single backwards glance, I spoke, "It's you... isn't it?"
"Hmm. It seems we have finally met. I have been awaiting this moment ever since I first recieved wind of your existance Redeemer."
I turned around slowly and found myself face to face with another male. As I was previously informed, he had a similar slim yet fit build to my own and was barely any taller than myself. His yellow eyes almost felt as if they penetrated my skin and peered into my very soul. A bushy mane of red covered his head and remained combed away from his face save for a few strands. His skin boasted a very light tan which helped exaggerate his strong jawline and pointed chin.
"What are you doing here?" I interrogated him.
"I am here to kill that damned traitor of course: The King," he scoffed.
"I thought that he was the one that was in full support of the Dragons' actions," I commented.
"Perhaps he was but the geezer fooled all of us. He led you to us afterall so it seems that he did want us dead after all," he spat.
"I don't particularly like the Qaezian King. I mean he did send an entire army after me. That said, I can't allow you to kill him just like that. It'll throw the entire Kingdom into chaos. If the King is dead that does remove the one thing which helped to cover the Eastern Dragons' little operation and that would help ensure that people can leave without being harmed. However it can also work against me. The Dragons' may see this as an attack against them despite my promise and this can cause an outright revolt. Plus, the entire country will go into a panic if the King is killed and that won't bode well for me who will be the prime suspect. Damn it, I shouldn't have hit that posh bastard!" I pondered out loud.
"Are you gonna stop this pointless babbling anytime soon? Or should I break your teeth in so you can't form your words again?!" the Dragonborn hissed wint a hint of annoyance creeping into his voice.
"Sheesh. Talk about short tempered! Are you sure your mother didn't spread for a Wyrm rather than a Dragon?" I retorted.
In a flash of red, he teleported only a foot infront of me and without hesitation he slammed his fist into my face forcing me to reel. Immediately he followed up with a solid punch to the abdomen before unleashing a barrage of kicks to my midsection and finished with a roundhouse kick which launched me across the busy streets and through surprised crowds.
I heard a woman scream as I collided with a fruit stand and full force and broke straight through the wooden structure. I lay on my back and groaned for a second before turning on my side and getting back to my feet. I wiped the fresh citrus juice which leaked down my arms and removed the half-shell of a watermelon fastened to my head like a helmet.
"Ouch. Your Draconic strength is truly terrifying to say the least," I laughed as I undid my seals, "Now let's see how well it fares against my Dragvern blood!"
"Tch. Don't underestimate the power of Eurus Suoh, you slimy snake!" he roared and charged at me. The onlookers dove out of the way shouting and wailing as Eurus plowed through them without a single thought.
He struck out with his fist but I quickly crossed my arms infront of my body to absorb the impact. Despite this I felt my body get pushed backwards and in a move of sheer desperation, I dug my heels into the hard earth and countered his move with a swing of my own.
