Cain Dragvern - POV;

"Yes, thank you," I showed my gratitude to the innkeeper.

"What did he say?" Amelia asked impatiently.

"He agreed to give all of those whose homes were destroyed in the recent fiasco a temporary place to stay until things can be sorted out. At a great discount of course," I told her.

"Do you want me to pay for the expenses?" she inquired.

"No, that's not necessary. I'll cover it all myself," I winked at her.

"Okay......." she sounded confused my my actions.

We returned to the scene of the incidence in order to further assess the damages and perhaps even gain a lead to the missing Draconian's whereabouts. Draedian was recaptured and claimed under the combined rule of the Tridom Alliance. As a result, it was important for us to consider expenses since we were in fact high officials of one of the ruling kingdoms.

"Soldier! Give me a report on your findings thus far," I called out to one newly recruited girl.

"As things stand currently, we are in a grim situation. Things do not bode well for Crethia," she announced, "It seems further evidence has been uncovered in this incident which links the kingdom to this attack; specifically which links Princess Amelia herself along with the entire royal family."

"What do you mean? Amelia was with me the entire time!" I argued.

"F-forgive my boldness my lord, but you should refrain from making such statements publically. It would only help to make you seem an accomplice to the destruction," the soldier warned.

"What crap are you spouting?! Why would Crethia lay waste to the land they own a portion of?!" I growled.

"Cain, that's enough! You shouldn't take your frustrations out on this girl," Amelia stated grabbing my shoulder.

"I know. I'm sorry," I apologised silently.

"Th-that's alright sir! I believe in all of you and I know that Crethia isn't at fault! After all you risked your life to save my brother yesterday. Someone like you could never be evil!" the militia female saluted energetically.

"Thank you for your help," I shook her hands.

"It's my pleasure to aid you! The truth is that we were ordered not to say anything to the Crethians but I fear there is some foul play involved. I am risking my career to bring this news to you. I hope you can clear the name of your kingdom without further incident!" she admitted before bowing and taking her leave.

"Oh God. Things have gotten so much worse as of late!" I complained.

"I can't say I disagree with you," Amelia sighed, "Anyway, we should probably meet up with Sana and Cecil."

The other princess and her fairy companion had left our party temporarily in order to help lessen the load the local hospital had been put under in light of yesterday's tragedy. Sana boasted an immense healing power that I could easily believe was far superior to Amelia's.

We journeyed to Sana's location with little else but the difficulties we would have to overcome plaguing our every thought.

"Hoy! Hoy there traveller!"

I paused for a second and scanned my surroundings. Sure enough, in the distance, I saw a man running towards us waving his hands frantically.

"Are you speaking to me?" I interrogated.

"Indeed traveller," he began before bending over and panting as he caught his breath, "I recieved a special notice for you!"

"A notice? For a mere traveller like myself?" I pressed.
