6 YEARS LATERThe Sun casting shadows on worn grey stones, filtering through green tree leaves, bright yellow flowers pushing up through thick grass. Fields in the distance.
I ran my hands slowly through the thick grey stones, dusting and soiling my hands in dirt.
I smiled as I read her name "IVY" I slowly ran my hands through her name that was ditched into the stone in black writing.
I focused on a shadow that formed on the grey stones. Slowly turning back and then focusing back on her grave.
" I miss her." I smiled as I looked back at Leo.
"She would've loved to see you grow." His deep but yet blunt voice was the only thing that run through the cemetery.
I slowly lifted the pot in my hand that was filled with water, and refreshed the soil that covered her, and her soul.
I was doing this slowly, I didn't want to hurt her. Strange right.
I sighed loudly and put the pot down and turned around to face Leo.
He smiled and pulled me into a hug.
" Its fine Meric. She will always be your mum. " I smiled and hugged him back.
" And, the women I will always love." I smiled to his last word, as he broke the hug.
" Come on now." I nodded as we made our way our the cemetery still looking back.
LEO'S POV
Meric was now nine.
Meric was the only thing I had left after Ivy.
Meric might not be her son. She grew him up, she fed him. She was the first thing he saw. She was the one who he said mum too.
I slowly made my way out the cemetery with him.
I got use to her death, seeing her in my dreams is enough for me now.
I regret not spending my fullest time with her, but I got someone she loved more then anything beside me.
I looked at Meric and smiled.
He smiled in return.
" If you ever fall in love." I chuckled " Don't let her go." He nodded smiling.
Don't let her go. Like I let her go.
