"Leah a little more umph in your arm raise whenever you jump up," I stated, walking by the girls as they held a position.

"Asia, great posture, try to relax your knees a little more," I smiled, looking at my friend.

"Bella, a little less facial expression, you don't want to scare the crowd," I joked and all the girls laughed. Bella however did not find it too funny.

As I finished my critique, I told the girls they could relax, and they all proceeded to go to the bleachers, some sitting down and others taking sips of their water bottles.

Bella walked up to me, "You don't have to humiliate me in front of the whole team," she said annoyed.

I looked at her confused, "Humiliate?"

She scoffed, "Oh please, don't act so innocent. You made that comment on purpose. To make yourself feel better perhaps," she crossed her arms sassily.

I gave her a weird look, "Feel better? Bella, I was critiquing everyone's position and style, you don't have to take it too personally, trust me," I chuckled.

She glared, "Oh, glad it's so funny to you Remi. Just like everything is. Treat everyone and everything like a joke and you'll get treated like one," she said angrily. "And I can promise you that."

It was our practice for cheerleading, and Bella was making a huge deal out of one comment I made. I was telling everyone what to fix, I was the team captain! It was my job! I don't know what Bella's problem was but she needed to chill out.

"Listen, Bella, I don't know why you're taking it so personally, I was just being honest. To everyone. I was making comments to everyone. I really wasn't trying to 'humiliate' you or whatever," I explained, still confused as to why she got so butthurt.

I saw something flash in her eyes but then as soon as it came it was gone just as fast, and her posture relaxed as did her facial expression, and suddenly she was back to her normal composed self. "You're right, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gotten so upset. I guess I just took it the wrong way."

I smiled, "It's okay! I'm sorry you felt offended by it."

She nodded, "Me too. How was your study session with Landyn last night?"

I rolled my eyes, "Oh you know, him being his same old annoying self as always," I started then stopped talking. Wait a second. How did she know Landyn was with me last night? I hadn't even told anyone, the only one who knew was Tanner. Suddenly my worried thoughts drifted away; I was just overthinking, her and Tanner were probably talking earlier and a conversation about me and Landyn probably popped up briefly and Tanner mentioned it. No big deal.

She nodded, "It's a shame you don't see what everyone else sees," she said. "Landyn is some serious eye candy."

I shrugged, "He's alright."

She smirked, "He'll grow on you."

I gave her a look, "Trust me, the only growing he'll be doing is growing away from me. I can't stand him. He's probably the most annoying human I've ever met."
