Annabeth's POV
"Go on in." I tell the twins. We just got home from the park. It's snowing and cold outside but I couldn't handle two rambunctious toddlers in the house for the whole winter.
I step inside and something feels off. I place my hand on my hip, ready to grab my knife if necessary.
"Penny, Ashton, get behind me." I say quickly. They do it, but almost reluctantly.
I walk out of the front hall and into the living room. I'm in shock with what I see.
The couches are shredded, chairs overturned, curtains ripped apart, and the two paintings the twins did are broken.
I stand there for a good 10 minutes, when Percy's voice startles me.
"Annabeth." Is all he says.
I turn around and rush into his arms.
"We have to move." Is all he says.
And I don't argue about it.

Two days after that disaster, Percy found us a house. He was able to buy it that night and we were packed up the next day. Then we spent a day unpacking everything. And now were finally settled. But we're still uneasy.
We live at the end of a coulda sac. The house is okay. Two floors same as the other one, but no ocean. But it was the closet thing they had left with what we wanted to live in. Percy's gonna put in a pool soon.
The twins rooms are just beige for now. We'll paint them later. We just wanted to get settle so it wouldn't be crazy for the twins.
I'm sitting on the floor of the living room. We have purchased any furniture yet. All the bedroom stuff is intact. Just the downstairs was hit.
Percy is trying to figure out what did it. He doesn't see any indications of a monster. So he thinks it's a person.
There's a knock at the door. Before I know it Penny is running towards the door.
"Woah Penny." I say and scoop her up in my arms. She laughs.
I open the door and cannot believe my eyes.
"Hi! Welcome to the neighborhood!"
