I love both characters (especially Finn. Rip Finn Hudson. *sniffles*) but I honestly think they're super cliquè. There are several couples where a jock and an outsider date. Convenient considering I ship several of those. Bad reason.
I get it "Finn was her first love, her first for everything, blah blah blah". SHUT IT! I don't care. Rachel was a very selfish person, she always will be. Finn deserved someone who was good to him, loyal, who wouldn't cheat on him, TWICE! I do ship Finntana a little, Santana maybe not the nicest person but Finn helped her be a much better person. Actually, not that long ago, I was talking to a fellow Glee fan about all sorts of subjects, this couple being one of them. In her perspective, Finn and Rachel mainly stayed together because they thought they were expected to. No, your main purpose to be as a couple if you actually care about each other, not because you believe it to be.
I guess you could say I'm being a little bias because, well.......

I'll forever like both characters (again, more so Finn), but I like them seperately. I would see them more as just good friends, but their duets and some moments are awesome. Ok, I'm done!
