Gwen and Trent from the Total Drama Series

Even though I've been team Gwuncan since I saw Season 2, I actually didn't mind this couple at first. But in TDA, Trent was ruined due to bad writing and Gwen was written horribly in later seasons, but despite the point. These two were a really good couple in TDI, having a good connection. Don't get me wrong, I do prefer Gwen and Duncan, but these two always made sure that they loved each other.
But why don't I ship them?
Well, that would be thanks TDA and that I really like them as friends more. Trent became really obsessive with her, causing him to throw challenges, leaving Gwen to break up with him. And even though in the past, I was obsessive with my ex-boyfriend (our relationship didn't end for that reason however, thankfully), but this is a whole new level. I think Gwen told him to stop being obsessive and play the game fairly. The issue is, if the writers were going to break them up, you have to write the best way. As for the friends part, you could tell that in TDWT that they would have been really good friendship. Gwen and Trent bonded really well and it wasn't too awkward.
So the point is, unlike Duncney, I actually wouldn't mind if these two got back together.
