Bughead

Look, I am taking a very serious risk for doing this rating since this is the most beloved couple on this show and will probably get a lot of bash for bashing on this but oh well, I've put it off for WAY too long due to fear. And for good reasons, since this is the most beloved ship of the fandom (I think Choni after that). It might make me sound a little bias, as I am a hardcore Barchie shipper, but that has no affect on it. 

Anyways, I want you all to still keep in mind that this is my opinion and I am not ashamed of it. 

Let's go over the positives first, shall we? Even as a anti-Bughead, I will admit that they have some good scenes that are nice to watch. Like whenever they support each other or when Juggie protects her with the Serpents' help (I just love me some badass Jug ;)). I would've mentioned their first time or when Jug asks her to be her serpent queen, but because they make me really cringe and the other thing makes me wanna barf, I'd rather not. 

And now for the negatives. If you are a fan of these two, I suggest you stop reading now.

1. They're really toxic and not good influences on each other. 

What I mean by this is the fact that remember Betty was really against the Serpents? She only starts helping them out because of Jughead, which is pretty selfish. And of course because of Jughead, she does the VERY uncomfortable serpent dance (whoever said that we should've seen Cheryl do the dance, ONE TIME IS ENOUGH PLEASEEEEE). Anyways, instead of telling her to take off the getup (for Dark Betty), he uses it as a turn on. If Juggie really loves her like he claims to, he would have told her to take it off. Also, they make each other more dangerous.

2. They are really boring by this point.

Okay, at first I didn't really mind them in Season 1, until the finale. The writers only had them get back together in Season 2 because the fans were complaining SO DAMN MUCH about it. And they don't even have chemistry anymore. And they're dating in real life! Anyways, Bughead is fanservice and is incredibly boring.

3. The chemistry is almost non-existent.

Yeah, you know it's bad if the couple are dating in real life but don't have any chemistry for the show. (I would say in real life too, but that just comes out of my hatred for Lili herself but I won't get into that) Even in their good scenes, I feel no romance, no heat. Sure, that might come out of my being Barchie shipper, but I just don't feel anything. Look at some Mevin or Choni scenes and they definitely have chemistry. So why isn't it possible for an on and off-screen couple to not have the same affect?

4. Their fans have killed it to the ground.

Okay, I normally have no problem with shipping what you ship, and feeling the need to be protective over it. After all, I ship Klance, the most popular ship of the Voltron fandom. Anyways, there should always be A LINE to how far you should take it. There are more Bughead stans than I count and so many of them are toxic. They always hate on non-Bughead shippers, have hissy fits whenever other ships get more screentime than theirs, and go so far as to hate on any character for no reason. Yes, Klance stans can be so much worse sometimes (for those of you in the VLD fandom), but I've put up with so much hate from the fans that I feel like I'll barf whenever they're onscreen.

5. They aren't a normal relationship and that is worrying.

For those of you have seen the first couple of episodes of Season 3 (the next episode comes out tomorrow), it's revealed that their relationship is getting worse. After all, Betty said it herself, mystery solving is the most normal thing that they do. Um, pardon me? You guys are supposed to be freaking 17! In Season 1, it actually made sense, considering Betty was kind of related to the whole case. Here, it's just disturbing. Another thing is that Juggie KNEW that Betty was prescribing those drugs to herself and just let her do it to herself? Excuse me, I love Jughead but are you kidding me! If your girlfriend is doing something intentionally to avoid their pain, you don't just let it happen, you put an end to it!

I have plenty more reasons why I hate these two and think that they aren't good together, but my reasons are bad enough and will get me a ton of hate already. Sorry if I triggered you, but my fellow Barchie fans have put up with too much hate that I just can't be nice anymore. And it doesn't help that I'm in a shipping war with my own sister.
