"That's it" Kian said in a disappointed tone staring at the small and old cottage down the hill by the lake.

" It's bigger then It looks inside" Shane said as he walked past us making his way down the hill.

I looked at Kian who returned a glance at me and at everyone that stood in the group.

"Well we might as well take everything down in one go so we don't have to go back up this hill" Connor spoke out pushing open the trunk of the van we were in, "I know I don't want to," he finished.

"Already ahead of you Con!" Kian spoke loudly picking up a bag of what looked like sports equipment and chucked it down the steep hill that was the cottage driveway.

Connor continued unloading the trunk unaware of Kians actions. Finally when he pulled out the last bag setting it on the ground he turned around at the perfect moment to see Kian chuck a backpack down the hill.

Relization hit Connor as he saw his bag was next. Kian picked up his bag.

"Don't you Dare." he said through his teeth.

"What are you gonna do about it" Kian joked, "Nothin".

"Well I packed the junk and it'd be a shame if it were to somehow be misplaced" he taunted.

Kian laughed, "You're bluffing we all know you love your chips Connor"

"Am I?" he smirked raising his eyebrow.

A worried expression filled Kians features.

"Well what are you going to eat" he said.

Connor raised his shoulders smirking still, "I have my healthy stuff remember" he said, " or as you call it shit".

Kian let out a high screech, "Fuuuuck! I don't like this!" and dropped Connors bag back onto the ground.

Kians reaction caused everyone to laugh, I glanced over at Jc expecting to see him laughing aswell, but I saw nothing just a frown. Which I thought was weird.

"You guys coming!?", Shanes shout echoed up the hill to us.

Everyone exchanged looks before taking their things and heading down the hill.

I grabbed my duffle bag and sighed because I knew I wasn't going to be able to carry it without hurting myself.

"Need any help" my body stiffened as I heard his voice behind me.

Finally I put my differnces aside and turned to face Jc.

"I can get Shane or someone to come back up and help me" I commented.

" I can carry it if you like" he offered.

I sighed deeply about to speak more but was beaten to it by another comment from Jc.

"It'd probably be eaiser then making someone come back up" he finished.

It was strange how the night at that party his eyes lit up with the smile constantly plastered on his face, but now they showed nothing more than sadness when the smile wassn't there.

"Fey!" Perris called from the bottom of the hilled driveway.

I glanced at her then back at Jc and nodded.

"Thanks" I muttered.

"No problem" he smiled a bit, but it still wasn't enough to light up those eyes of his.

He slung my bag over his shoulder with a bit of a stumble and made his way down the hill. I let out a sigh of relief from all the anxiety I felt build up inside of me while talking to him and made my way down the hill behind him.

Perris glared at Jc as he walked past her and looked at me raising her eyebrow with her arms crossed.

"What was all that about?" she questioned.

"He just offered to take my bag" I replied.

"That better be all that happened" she muttered annoyed as we made our way into the cottage behind the others.

"Are the rooms already arranged?" Connor spoke up as soon as everyone was already inside the small room which was the t.v. room and dining room.

"Nope, just the master bedroom on the left. It's Fey and Perris'," answered Shane before receiving disappointed sighs from some of the boys.

"So it's a free for all!" Kian yelled before running down the hallway followed by some of the boys.

"Dibs top bunk",

"That my bed!"

"This room is ours! Get out!"

The voices shouted at one ad another as they tried to find their sleeping arrangements.

"Thank God we had a set room, I didn't want to have to get all aggressive and fight to get the best one," Perris said adding in a small giggle causing Shane and me to join in.

me and Perris grabbed our bags before heading down the hallway to get settled in our temporary room. As soon as we were in the room Perris slammed the door shut.

"Spill, what happened in the car," Perris let out close to a whisper.

What?

"What?" I repeated my thought aloud.

"You and Jc, i saw it!' She says making eye contact

"He knows it's me," I say before looking down breaking our eye contact, " 'I'm the girl from the party but I'm not the kind of girl he's looking for."

I let out a deep sigh as I walked into a small separate two bed room followed by Ricardo and set my duffle bag down on my bed.

"Stressed already?" Ricardo laughed occupying the other bed across from me.

I let out a smile and laugh, "not at all, jus trying to settle back into the old place" I commented.

My family always came down here in the summer time when I was younger and we were always so happy, it just made me sad that all the happiness my family ever had was probably left down here in this abandoned cottage after my sister died. My parents were going to sell it but I saw an opportunity to still be able to put it to use and bring back happy memories with my friends.

"so what's there to do around here" he continued.

"Umm well a lot, but that all depends if we have the same neighbors" I said,"when I came down here as a kid they'd let my family and I do all kinds of things" I smiled at the thought.

"Well what do you think is a good thing to do right now?" Ricardo asked.

"Well-" Our conversation was cut off by a loud curdling scream which could only be made by one of the boys, and that was Ricky.
