After eating Dinner everyone went back to what they were doing before, except for Alexander and I. He was bringing me somewhere. I was just about to go back upstairs and take a nap since I was actually pretty tired but Alexander grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me to the door as he handed me one of his sweaters.
"Where are we going?" I asked him. He didn't say anything but just smiled at me. I was getting a little suspicious.
"We'll be back before 10, ok?" Yelled Alexander threw out the house. Both his and my parents nodded to him as everyone else just smiled and watched us. What's going on?
"Wait! Where are you–Ahhh!" I began to ask him, but before I could finish I was being pulled out the door and quickly, making me yelled my words. I was now in the passengers seat of Alexander's Mustang and now buckled up. Alexander started the car and turned the radio up just a little.
"Where are we going Alexander?" I asked him chuckling a bit.
"You'll see" Is all he said. I smiled and sighed as I sat back in the seat and just watched the sun go down slowly. The sky was filled with orang, pink, red, and some slight blue colors all around. It was beautiful.
After about 45 minutes of driving Alexander had finally reached where he was taking me. It was a field with hills and small mountains around it. I looked at it confused but also in awe.
Alexander hopped out of the car and was at my door before I could even unbuckle, holding the door open for me. I smiled at him and rolled my eyes."You're so dorky" I told him. Alexander held his hand to his heart and made and ouch noise pretending he was actually hurt. I laughed as I stepped out of the car.
Alexander grabbed my hand and walked me up a sidewalk towards a hill, then to another hill just bigger, then a bigger hill....And then another bigger hill. After a few more minutes of walking Alexander told me to close my eyes. I shut my eyes closed and trusted Alexander the best I've ever trusted him before and let him guide me wherever it was we were going.
"Ready?" He asked me. I smiled hug;y and nodded my head slowly. "Ok, 1...2...3!" Alexander said. On three Alexander took his hands away from my eyes and I was starstruck. I was looking at a huge mountain view with the sun setting behind it. The sun had all the colors shine out from behind the mountain and shine across the nearly night sky. It was the most beautiful thing that I've seen in my whole life.
Alexander grabbed my hand again and lead me to a blanket that I was just now noticing. It had a bag in the middle, one drink on each side of the blanket, and another blanket folded on the green grass beside us.
"A-Ale...What is this for?" I asked. I looked up to him wide eyed and amazed.
"It's an early birthday present. It's a picnic" He told me. I smiled at him and gave him a hug that nearly felt like I was breaking him.
"C-Can't...Breath" Alexander said sounding like he couldn't breath...Oh ya. I quickly let Alexander go and chuckled at him as he gained his breath back.
"Sorry" I said. Alexander smiled and waved it off.
"So? Do you like it?" He asked me. I looked to him like he was stupid.
"Yeah!" I yelled. He laughed. Alexander and I both sat on the blanket that was already laid out. Alexander opened up the bag and pulled out 4 sandwiches, a container of Mac N' Cheese, a container of mashed potatoes, and 2 spoons.
Alexander handed me a sandwich that I hesitated to take and the mac n' cheese. I took a spoon and took a bite of it. The cheese tasted sooooo good. I widened my eyes and ate so much that Alexander almost didn't get any. I laughed an handed it back to him. He laughed at me.
