When we were back at the house, there was no cars parked in the driveway. I looked confused at it. Alexander quickly pulled out his phone and began to text someone. After a couple clicks he put his phone back into his back pocket.
"Who were you messaging?" I asked being nosy.
"I just told Raine to get our homework from today in our classes" Alexander told me as he shut the car off.
Alexander and I both hopped out of the car and walked to the house together. When he was about 2 feet from the door, and I was a couple feet behind him, I ran in front of the door.
I stood in the middle of the doorway, blocking Alexander from getting inside. He looked at me confused, but then he smiled. He put his hands to the sides of his hips and put most of his pressure on one leg.
"What are you doing?" He asked me laughing. I just smiled.
"I didn't want to come back here just to go inside and do nothing" I told him. He laughed at me again.
"Fine. What do you want to do out here then?" Alexander asked uncrossing his arms. I thought for a second.
"I don't know! I haven't been outside of this place except to go to school. I don't know what you people have here" I said. Alexander chuckled. Alexander began to walk away from me and he began to walk around the house.
"Come on" He told me. I ran from the door and to Alexander's side. He held my hand again and lead me to the backyard, that I didn't even know they had.
When we were both standing in the middle of his huge nearly green, and a lot of brown grass, I nearly stopped breathing. It was so big. It looked like a football field, well, probably a third of a football field. But still, it was huge!
Alexander laughed.
"Yeah, it is a pretty big yard. Raine and everyone else always come out here in the winter and sled so fast they end up going into the road" Alexander told me rubbing the back of his neck. I laughed.
"Why did you say 'They'? Do you not go out and play with them?" I asked. Alexander shrugged his shoulders.
"I do, I just haven't for a year or two. But they always end up dragging me out of the house if its a snow storm or a blizzard" He told me.
"Why? Wouldn't that be the worst time to play outside?" I asked confused. Alexander gave a slight chuckle and looked to me.
"Don't worry. It's nearly winter already, once we have a blizzard or a regular ol' snow storm, I'll show you why they take me out" Alexander said giving a mischievous smile. I laughed.
"That looked creepy" I told him.
"I know" He said. We both laughed.
Alexander and I walked around the yard a couple times, just letting me see every inch of it. After about 10 minutes it began to get a little chilly. I ignored it though, I didn't get cold easily usually.
After about 20 minutes we both sat down in the middle of the yard and started to act like kids. We rolled down the hill that lead to the raid, we ran playing tag, and of course Alexander won with his stupid Vampiric speed, and we played hide and seek, and once again, Alexander kept on winning. It was pretty hard to find someone who should be hiding on the ground and look like a person, when really they are hanging in a tree upside-down into a bat form. Cheater.
"Hey, I ain't no cheater. I just am a winner" Alexander told me as he changed back to human form and was now standing next to me. I laughed.
"Wanna go inside and watch a movie?" He asked me. I nodded my head, yes. Both Alexander and I walked to the front of the house and went inside immediately. I began to head to the stairs and to our room, but Alexander stopped me. He grabbed ahold oh my forearm and held me still.
