Chapter 6-The Corruption

Scarlet was really shocked by the fact that Levi was right and that she really could be the Alpha of Alphas. She didn't know what to make of the truth. If Scarlet really was the Alpha of Alphas, she would be the next heir to the Alpha Leader throne.

It was totally unbelieveable to Scarlet at first but as she thought more and more about it, it started to make a little bit more sense. Soon enough, the bell rang. "I have Art next" Victoria said to Scarlet as they hurried to get to their class on time. "I have..Dark Mastery next.." Scarlet stated.

As soon as Scarlet entered the classroom, Ms.Darkson looked up and noticed Scarlet right off the bat. As everyone took their seats, Ms.Darkson started class. "Okay class, today we will be learning about Vampires and the history behind them. Please open your books to page 45".When Scarlet went to open her book, she suddenly felt weird. She raised her hand. "Miss, may I use the restroom?" Ms. Darkson smiled."Why yes you may." Scarlet thought she was gonna throw up at first so she hurried on to the restroom.

When she got there, she went to the sink and splashed her face with water. The weird feeling just felt to be getting worse than it was before. Her head ached and she felt weak and miserable. All of a sudden, she fainted.

She seemed to be knocked out for what seemed like forever. In reality, it was only 6 minutes. After that 6 minutes of being knocked out, her eyes flashed open. They weren't her original color though...they were a pitch black with a little red dot in the middle for a pupil, kind of like a creepy demon eye. Inside Scarlet's mind, she had been corrupted. Scarlet was still Scarlet but not in control of her body.

Someone had taken over...or some THING. Along with her eyes, she had much paler skin and black wolf ears and tail. She got up and walked out of the restroom. Since everyone was still in class, there was no one around to see her. The thing that corrupted her told her in her mind something. "Make them obey...Become the Alpha...Kill...Take over the world." The voice said. Scarlet wouldn't obey. But since she was corrupted, it made her do what the voice said.

Scarlet ran faster than any wolf could to the Werewolf Club room. The Alpha Female was in there setting up for next class. She ran in there and the Alpha didn't notice her cause she was that fast. Scarlet ran like a bolt of lightning behind her. Her fangs sharpened. Her ears twitched. In a flash of black, Scarlet had killed her. Just like that. Faster than you could snap your own fingers.

The Alpha Female was lying on the ground, dead. In Scarlet's mind, she was horrified by what she had done. She couldn't stop herself, no matter how hard she tried to stop. Next, the voice told her to go for the Alpha Male. Before you knew it, she managed to find him too and he was gone. By that time, the bell rang and she turned back.

Victoria must have been worried about Scarlet since she had not been there for the rest of class so she came bounding out to find her. Victoria spotted Scarlet and ran to her. "Where have you been?!" Scarlet couldn't explain what had happened to Victoria due to the fact that she would have felt terrible after telling it. What if Victoria stopped being friends with her because she had found out that Scarlet was a monster? Scarlet couldn't risk anything. She had no other choice but to tell a lie, even if she felt really bad about it.

"I had a really bad stomach ache and I felt really sick." Scarlet said. Victoria looked relieved. "Oh, good. I thought someone kidnapped you or something." Scarlet looked relieved that Victoria bought the story. All of a sudden, there was a scream from the Werewolf Club room. A wolf girl came running out of the room yelling. "THE WEREWOLF ALPHAS HAVE BEEN KILLED,I REPEAT, THE ALPHAS ARE DEAD!" Victoria looked alarmed. "Huh?! What was that?" Scarlet started to feel nervous. "I'm sure it was nothing!" Scarlet grabbed Victoria's arm and pulled her away from what could become a major commotion.

"But, I wanna see what's going on!" Victoria tried to pull Scarlet back. Scarlet decided that she probably couldn't keep her back from it, being the curious person she is, so Scarlet gave in. Victoria raced off to the Werewolf Club room and sure enough, there was a HUGE crowd gathered there.

Victoria pushed through the crowd to the inside and Scarlet followed. There they were. The Alpha Male and Female's bodies were both next to each other, with blood everywhere. Is that what I did?!, Scarlet thought.

The police had come and they had police tape around the area. The police were trying to keep the students back but of course, some students managed to get through because of how sneaky some students can be.

What have I done?! What has happened to me? It's all my fault. Scarlet couldn't explain how she felt right now. The only thing she could think of doing is to run away. She just wanted this to be over. She didn't want to be the cause of this or be a monster. But she was. Scarlet ran back through the crowd and to the restroom.

Victoria saw her run back out the door. "Scarlet!" Victoria ran after her. Victoria got to the restroom and saw Scarlet by the sink, crying her eyes out.

Victoria came over to her and rubbed her back. "What's wrong Scarlet? Why are you crying?" Scarlet stopped crying for a second. "It's my fault.."

Victoria couldn't understand. "How could it have been YOUR fault? You were in the restroom all of class." Scarlet started to feel dizzy again. She felt the room spin around her and then, she felt herself faint. Victoria gasped. "SCARLET?!"
