Chapter 17- Outbursts...

Even when everyone was halfway through eating, Scarlet just felt that more tension would build in her. It was scary almost. That's when Mr. Lycan started to speak.

"So Scarlet, Victoria has been telling us about you since the first day of school and she's told us about your 'condition'. Maybe we can help a little? I mean, I don't want to pry but I'm sure you have some unanswered questions..."

Scarlet hesitated for a mere moment but finally decided to answer. "Yea..I do.."

Vic looked up from her plate and raised her eyebrows slightly. Everyone stared contently at Scarlet as if motioning her to ask a question. "Well, one of the questions I have...is about Keora. Who exactly is she as a person and why is she so uptight about the Ultima thing? I've done research on her in school and I found a diary entry about her saying that if there ever was another Ultima born, she would come back and make sure that new one was evil and cruel like she was...it confused me..but it did make sense in some way..I also found a picture of her and the way she looked in the picture reminded me of myself."

Mr.Lycan looked down and furrowed his brows, thinking. Gray piped up. "I remember some bits of history about Keora."

Scarlet glanced over in his direction, curious. Gray waited for a second so everyone's gaze was on him and he spoke again. "I'd heard famous stories about her and well, alot of them were pretty harsh, and gory too..some of them were even unbelievable..but Keora claimed that when she had done those acts..she wasn't in control of herself..that she had two sides to her and the evil of her always seemed to win...until one day, she went completely viral. She killed her brother Kula...the Lycan Family depised her for it but she didn't seem to care anymore..reason being because...she had lost herself eternally to her dark side...the dark side of Keora didn't care about anyone or anything, just souless I guess..the person that possessed you that day..that may have been Keora's Dark Side who claims to be her but in actuality, it's name is Gorai which means 'Killer' in ancient language."

Scarlet couldn't believe how much information he knew. But she was a little glad that some things had been cleared up for her. He continued.

"Keora wasn't uptight. Like I said, she lost herself. Her entire good in her...just gone..it's hard to believe for some people but it's possible in all reality. I would be careful Scarlet, the power you have is great and I bet anyone who is power-hungry wouldn't hesitate to take a grab at it. Always keep your guard up and never let it down when your around people who seem suspicious. If you do that, you'll be sure to keep yourself safe." 

Scarlet was just in awe of what Gray had just said. He really knew how to talk wise. I guess, that may come from genes. Scarlet smiled. "Thanks for giving me the advice. Y'know, your pretty smart!" 

Gray beamed with pride. "Glad I could be of help to you. Anything for one of my sister's friends." Scarlet felt more and more comfortable there as she started to talk more to Vic's family. They moved on from that conversation and talked about other things. Vic's family seemed to like having Scarlet around and she felt the same way. The doorbell rang. Everyone, including Scarlet turned their attention to it. Ms. Lycan ran down to answer it. Scarlet heard a girl's voice. A girl with light purple hair and a gothic look came up the stairs and sat at the one empty chair next to Scarlet. Victoria must have sensed Scarlet's questioning about the strange girl so she got up and decided to answer it for her. 

"Scarlet, this is Lunar, my older sister. Lunar, this is my friend, Scarlet Revada." Lunar glanced over at Scarlet and almost gave a disgusted look to her. Scarlet suddenly heard her mutter, "She seems weird..."

Scarlet looked frustrated in quiet. She didn't want to cause anything that could lead to hurt to even worse, bloodshed. Scarlet yet again heard Lunar mutter, "Probably just another high school freak that doesn't deserve to live.."

Then, as if triggered by lightning, Scarlet felt rage come up inside her and stiffness overcome her body. She looked down at her lap so they wouldn't see her expression. She then felt that she had no more control over herself and she realized she had this same feeling before. Her eyes turned pitch black and she sprouted long black ears and tail with red tips. All the Lycan family saw this and leaped back in surprise and horror. Scarlet's skin turned paler than usual and she grew long sharp fangs that dripped with black-colored blood. She got up from her seat just as two huge black wings came from her back and Vic ran and hid in her room. Kuna even looked scared and usually, goths NEVER get scared. Mr and Ms. Lycan started to slowly back away with Gray behind them. They all knew what was going on but unfortunately, they didn't know how to stop it when it came to it's raging peak.
