Jax was sitting on a bench by the library and computer room when he noticed Scarlet coming up the hall. Jax blushed. She's so pretty... he thought. Scarlet walked by him without even noticing him, mainly because she was in a hurry to get in the library.
Jax sighed. I wish I had the courage to ask her out...I mean, would she like me? Am I too tall for her? Too awkward?..
Jax suddenly got a notification on his phone. It was a text message from his friend Kenai.
Kenai: Hey bro! Did you hear about the prom coming up soon?!
Jax: No I haven't! Thanks for telling me
Kenai: I've already got a date. Who are you gonna take?
Jax: I...don't know yet...there IS someone I would like to take but..
Kenai: But what?
Jax: I'm afraid she might..reject me..
Kenai: Don't worry! I got your back bro! I can ask her for you.
Jax: *hesitates* okay...
Kenai: Great! See you tomorrow Jax!
"See you.." Jax said as he switched off his phone. Suddenly, Jax had an idea on how to ask Scarlet out. It would probably be a dumb idea, but it might work. Jax just had to figure out when it would be the best time. He wanted to do it when she was in a good mood and she wasn't busy. Maybe..he would just have enough courage to ask her.
He thought, Now...to put my plan and courage into action...
