Chapter 14- The Collision

It was Thursday. One more day until the prom. Jax still hadn't asked Scarlet out yet but today he vowed himself to before some other guy swooped in and asked her. He was gonna ask her no matter what it took.

He decided he would do it while she was at her locker one class before lunch. I WILL make sure I ask her...., Jax thought.

Meanwhile.....
Scarlet and Victoria were at their lockers getting ready for the day.

"So..Scarlet, did anything happen yesterday evening? Anything unusual?" Victoria asked. Scarlet shook her head no. "Not really..but to be honest, I felt a little twitchy inside..like when you feel a bug on you but you can't shake it off." Scarlet said.

"If you want to find out more about what you are, maybe you could come over one evening to my house for dinner and my parents and family might know something about Keora and what she went through. It would probably help." Victoria suggested.

Scarlet nodded her head slightly. "Yeah..sure!" She replied. Victoria's expression quickly turned into a smile. "Okay! Saturday evening sound great?" She asked. "Mhm! I'm free that night."

So it was settled. Scarlet wondered in her mind if she would find out anything more about Keora than what was written in the books.

She hoped she would find out something. Something that she didn't already know. Back when she was in the library, that diary entry that was written by her before she died said something about the Ultima having to be evil and heartless and generally cruel. Scarlet didn't think that was all true.

There was no explanation as to why Keora thought that. Nothing in the book mentioned anything about it. It was strange. I guess I'll just have to wait until my visit with the Lycans to answer some of my questions, She thought.

Meanwhile in another place.....

Levi was thinking about what Ein had said yesterday to him. "Well, I do like Scarlet...alot." He blushed red when he said it. It took Levi a long while to decide whether he was gonna ask her or not.

After that long while, he had finally decided. "Y'know what? I WILL ask Scarlet to the prom!" He said with pride. He ran off outside and immediately went to the school's garden. There was a cart stand full of bouquets of flowers. Levi took one and ran back inside quickly but not too quick so as to not damage the flowers.

Right when he got inside, he went to the restroom and fixed his hair so it was just perfect. He didn't want to look like a mess when he asked her. She might think he was a slob or something.

He rounded a corner and he saw Scarlet at her locker by herself. Now's my chance!, He thought excitedly. Just when he was about to walk over, Levi noticed another guy with blond hair and a bouquet of flowers in his hand. It was Jax.

"Hey Jax!" Levi called. Jax looked over and waved.

"How you doing L?" Jax asked. "L?"
Jax rolled his eyes. "The L is the first letter in your name and y'know, I thought it would be a fun nickname."

"Oh, well then, cool!" Levi said. Jax and Levi both smiled. "So, who you asking to the prom?" Levi continued the conversation. "Scarlet Revada~" Jax answered back with a happy tone to his voice.

Levi's expression inside his mind quickly faded from a smile to a look of anger and sadness. Even so, he managed to keep a fake smile on his face. "Who are you asking?" Jax asked.

Levi suddenly looked angry. "Well, I was GOING to ask Scarlet out too!" He exclaimed angrily. Jax suddenly looked mad too.

"Well I'm SOORRY if you wanted to, because she is going with ME~" Jax smirked. Levi couldn't take it anymore. "That's IT!" He said. He threw down the flowers and jumped on Jax and started wrestling him.

Scarlet heard the commotion and was watching it all go down. She rolled her eyes. "I wonder what their fighting over?" She asked herself.

Scarlet heard a voice behind her, "Uh, hello?" Scarlet almost jumped out of her skin but she turned around. "Oh my Irene, you scared me!" She said. The guy behind her smiled. "Sorry! Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. Name's Ein!"

Scarlet smiled back. "Scarlet Revada!" She said. Ein looked nervous. "I was wondering, since your such a beautiful girl, would you like to be my date to the prom?" He asked. Scarlet looked surprised and her face turned beet red. "Oh, um, sure!"

Ein smiled. "These are for you!" He said and handed her a bouquet of flowers. Her face just turned even more red. "T-Thank you Ein." She said shyly. Ein leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. "See ya later Scarlet~" Scarlet waved back as he left.

She put the flowers in her locker. The bell rang. Scarlet grabbed her books for the next class and closed her locker. She was still blushing red as she was walking down the corridor.

Jax and Levi were still wrestling by the time the bell rang. They stopped. They saw that Scarlet had gone. "Dangit!" They both said. They got up off one another.

"It was all your fault!" Jax yelled. Levi fired back. "No! It was yours!" They started yelling insults back and forth to each other and before you knew it, a teacher heard them and came by to tell them to break it up and go to class. The two both huffed and puffed but went off to their lockers to get their things and go to class before the late bell rang.

Well, you can clearly tell that Levi and Jax are mad at each other. But what the two don't know is that Ein set Levi up so when the two would fight, Ein could ask Scarlet out himself. It was dirty but clever.
