Scarlet walked into the quiet library filled with shelves and shelves of books that could possibly contain the answer that she was looking for. She walked through the shelves scanning each book cover as she passed. It seemed like she was looking for hours until...her eyes dropped on one book. It was a red leather book with gold writing that looked to be embroidered or rather sewn onto it.
She slid it out and read the front: The Ultima Story.
She opened up the cover and began reading the first page:
The Ultima or rather known in other terms "The Alpha of Alphas" is a very powerful werewolf. There are many terms for the Ultima depending on what most werewolves prefer. Ultima werewolves may seem like your typical everyday werewolf, but their far from it. When the Ultima transforms, they have long black wolf ears and tail with a tint of red on the tips. Their eyes turn bloodshot red. Their eyes may scare you, but they also can do something much more terrifying. If a human looks into the eyes of an Ultima, they turn into a werewolf. It can be a very painful and torturing experience. In some cases, the person who had been affected had died from it. Besides that, there is another way an Ultima can turn a human into a werewolf....by a bite. It is almost as painful but not quite. Fortunately, a person cannot die from it.
The Ultima bloodline originated from one particular family: The Lycan Family. The very first Ultima ever to exist from that family goes by the name Keora Lycan. She led a pack of wolves called "The Howlers". They were assassins and theives. They all had special powers that fitted their personality. Keora was the most powerful of them all. Whenever she had a job, she always made sure to get it done. After Keora passed, another Ultima was born. Before Keora passed, she talked about someone becoming an Ultima after her but not being from the Lycan family. She couldn't give a exact name but she did say there would be one. Since then, no one in the Lycan family nowadays has been recognized as an Ultima. So the prophecy must be true.
Here is a journal entry from Keora that was written just before she passed:
March 1st, 1995
Dear Journal,
I don't know for sure when I may come to die but I feel it might be soon. When I die, I want my soul to be able to roam this world to find the next Ultima. When I do, I want them to become just like me. Evil....forever a demon. I don't want the Ultima name to be disgraced in ANY way. Ultimas are supposed to be evil, ruthless and heartless and it's going to STAY that way. Until then, I say good-bye...
Farewell, Keora Lycan
**************************** Scarlet had her mind whirling. "That thing...that corrupted me...was Keora...it HAS to be! That means...I'm the Ultima werewolf..." Her eyes widened. A picture suddenly slipped out and started to drift from the book. Scarlet was quick to catch it.

"So...this is what she looks like.." Scarlet said quietly to herself. Scarlet decided to take the book with her. She checked it out and clamped it tightly under her arm. She slid the picture back in safely and started to make her way to her locker. She turned the corner and saw Victoria. She tried to swiftly walk past her to avoid questions from her but it was no use. Just as she went past, a voice called out behind her. "Hey Scarlet! Any luck?" Scarlet decided it was probably no use hiding it from Victoria so she was going to come clean about it. "You better sit down with me Vic, cause this is going to be a long story" She said as she motioned for Victoria to sit next to her on a bench. Scarlet thought in her mind, Here goes nothing....
