Erin placed her hand protective over her stomach as she walked inside hospital, her gaze met Maggies and the warm smile of hers, claimed the brunette female. Within a secound, the smile that approached Erins brims disappeared when her gaze met Will, the unclear similarity of him and Jay, hit her hard. When he stepped closer to offer his help, to his sister in-law , he didn't know how painfully it was for her.
"Erin, Natalie will be here in a few minutes! She has an short consil"
When he stood infront of her he wanted to hug her, and lead her into the trauma room, but she stepped back. He raised his eyebrow confused, but she fastly apologised
"It's nothing personally Will. You just remember me of Jay... I'll need some time"
Without waiting for his reaction she walked away from him and followed April into the trauma room. It was weird, to be back at the hospital. Back at the place where Jay died.. A cold shiver run down her back and goosebumps appeared on her skin. She lifted herself upon the chair , while she waited for Natalie, she looked around.
A trauma room wasn't really pretty, and she wondered what was the last thing Jay saw before he died?! The weird looks of the surgeons, the moment after he got shot or when he was inside the trauma room.
In some way she wished she could know it, it might would make things easier. Her thoughts got interrupted by April, when she asked her lovely, if it was okay if she starts with the blood
sampling..
"Sure. "
Erin nodded and waited for April to start with the blood sampling, in some way Erin felt comfortable around April.
"Thats enough.. So now I will check your vital functions"
After April filled two ampoules with Erins blood, she checked her vital functions. April always smiled at Erin, some positive gesture, can help to calm down. When she finished and finally wrote everything down on the chart, she was about to leave the room again.
"Could you stay... Until Natalie is here?"
Erin shyly asked April, when she would leave again, all this horrible thoughts would flashback into Erins head. With a friendly nod, she walked over again, and sat down beside Erin onto the bed
"Certainly Erin."
She smiled and placed her palm over Erins while they talk about nonsense, just to keep Erins mind from everything else. When the door opened and Natalie walked in, Erin felt safe, Natalie would keep her baby safe. That was all she wanted by now, the baby was everything she had left.
"Goodmorning Erin, how do you feel today?"
Natalie started with a simple smalltalk while she washed and disinfectant them, before she walked over to Erin. She slowly pulled up her shirt and grope Erins belly, before she put some gel on her stomach and started the ultrasound scan.
"Morning Natalie, a bit nervous."
The brunette female couldn't say /Alright/ that wouldn't be true! She rested her gaze on Natalie, and when Natalie raised her eyebrow when she looked at the monitor, Erin was nearly to freak out
"What? What do you see?? Is something wrong?!"
Erin made it impossible for Natalie to answer any of her questions, but with every secound where Natalie staid quiet, Erin nearly died.
