Jay's funeral had been two weeks ago, and today was the day Erin would came back to work again. Ruzek was the first one who mentioned this at the morning

"So Erin will came back today, do you think she is ready for this?"

He asked and looked around, everyone stayed silent. Neither Voight knowed what to say, so he sighed and answered.

"She is strong, but we should all lay one eye on her. For Halstead.."

The whole Intelligence unit nodded and leaned against there desk when they heared the familiar beeping of the security door. Erin made her way upstairs to the office, for the very first time since Jay's death and she sighed. Before she entered the office she took a deep unneeded breath and stepped inside

"Morning"

She managed to say, before she walked towards her desk, when she looked up and saw his empty desk, treas formed in the corner of her eyes. She placed her jacket on her chair and walked over to his desk, with her digits she run along his computer. She could handle this right?! Wrong, it broke her apart, but she couldn't show it. She took the box with his personal things of the desk and walked back to hers. She sat down and felt all there gazes resting on her.

"Are you able to work again kid?"

Hank stood infront of her with his /I'm worried about you, please tell me the truth/ gaze, and she nodded positive

"Alright, you are on desk duty, for the next 7 months"

He said and looked down to her small stomach, before he distributed the cases. She sighed and leaned back against her chair as soon as everyone left. Treas run down her cheek and she stared at his empty desk.

She finished her paperwork and leaned back, she closed her eyes and rubbed her stomach softly. She could feel the treas run down her cheek, when she thought about Jay.

Voight and the team interrupted the silence when the stepped into the office and Erin wiped the treas away fastly, she raised an eyebrow as soon as her gaze met a new pair of eyes.

"Who is that??!"

She asked and crossed her arms infront of her chest

"Jay's replaceme..."

Ruzek stopped as soon as he realised what he just said, he dropped his gaze ashamed. Erin knew that this would happen someday, but she couldn't believe how fast Hank did this. Jay was only dead for 2 weeks and he had finally a replacement.

"Pick up a desk and sit down, Julian. Welcome in our unit"

Voight said and patted his back, he didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. Erin stayed silent until the new one wanted to sit down on Jays desk

"HELL TO THE NO. There is now way you sit there"

She yelled and nearly punched him, if her desk wasn't between them

"This desk isn't available"

A death glare hit the new one, who was obviously confused. He nodded and quietly sat down on Ruzeks old desk. Everybody in the office was silent and ashamed, they just released how much pain this replacement caused Erin.
