"Goodbye adoptive mother. I'll be back, so don't miss me too much." I joked, hugging Crystal's mom.
I then walked over to my mom. "Remember what I told you. Don't take it personal, but understand my feelings. I'll miss you." My mom said hugging me. I nodded and moved onto Marie.
"Oh my goodness. You're leaving me again!" She cried.
"Don't worry, I'll be back. When I come back, I'll go to your house first and we'll talk about him. I love you." I sniffled, hugging the lovely lady in front of me.
After Crystal, the boys, and I said bye to everyone, we headed towards our gate. Our plane ride was long and tiring, but we made it to LA. We grabbed a taxi, and headed to the flat where Crystal and I are going to live together.
I paid the driver before walking inside with the others. Crystal walked up to the reception before coming back with our keys. I followed her into the elevator, and headed towards our flat.
"How'd you find this place?" I asked amazed.
"Cam and Nash live here. They recommend it, so i took a look. It's nice, isn't it?" She asked.
"Very." I nodded.
Calum and Matthew left to go settle down. I had to go to the studio today so I could record some songs.
"Hey, I noticed you a bit distant with your mom. What happened between you two?" Crystal asked.
"Well, we had a bit of an argument." I shrugged.
"It must've been big for both of y'all to not make up. What exactly happened?" Crystal asked.
"Well," I started.
*flashback*
"I don't like Calum." My mom told me.
"What? Why not? He's almost perfect!" I argued.
"I prefer someone else for you. I just.. I don't feel like Calum is good enough for you." My mom insisted.
"Who else do you prefer? Who else is going to like me for being myself? The one guy that was my everything and loved me for who I was, isn't here! Not for my money, or fame! So who could replace him? If anything, I'm not good enough for him!" I replied offended.
"Well, when you came back for his memorial, two boys, a blonde and a brunette, came to support you. The brunette boy described himself as your best friend, but the blonde one described himself differently. He said he was in a in a complicated position. Since you didn't stay long because of the tour, you didn't see them. I observed how the blonde boy talked about you. He's in love with you! It's Jack who I'm taking about! The guy you're supposed to be with!" My mom explained.
"But we're not together! He came too late! He was a jerk in the beginning of the tour, and suddenly he's all nice to me in the end. I forgave all of his mistakes, and I even fell for him. Harder than you think! But in a world where we both live in, makes everything complicated. Sure, I trusted him. Sure he made me smile. He made me laugh. He made me happy. He made me believe in love once again. Sure he did! But we can't be together mom. Jack deserves much better than me! Calum showed me something different. He cares for me, not that jack doesn't, but Calum is different." I let all the anger inside of me, out.
"But you belong with Jack!" She pushed.
"If i belong with Jack, then why aren't I with him? I respect you mama, but I'm done with this conversation. I just don't want to get hurt again, and I know Calum won't hurt me." I mumbled before walking out.
*end of flashback*
"Wow." Crystal mumbled.
"Yup. Anyways, I'm going to the studio, wanna come, or?" I asked.
"I'll stay. Matthew said he was coming back in about an hour. Good luck, though!" She answered.
I left and grabbed a taxi. I didn't have my Jeep until next week due to transportation. My mom was sending it, but it was going to take time. I sighed as I looked around to traffic. This was the only bad thing about LA, the traffic. I'll make sure to leave earlier next time.

"Johnson! Hey, so Brenda and Crystal just got here. I'm heading over to them right now, wanna come?" Gilinsky suggested.
"Um, sure I'll come." I sighed.
"Great! Let's go!" Gilinsky said.
We left towards their apartment, and got there in about thirty minutes. It was actually a ten minute drive, but the traffic is crazy. I took a deep breath before my shaky hand knocked on the door. A very happy Crystal opened the door.
"Crystal! Long time no see!" Gilinsky greeted, hugging her. I waited until they were done so I could hug here.
We entered the apartment and looked around. It was a nice place, but Brenda was no where to be seen. I wonder where she was.
"Where's Brenda?" Gilinsky asked the question in my head.
"She's at the studio. She left about two hours ago, but I wouldn't know when she's coming back. I can call her if you'd like." Crystal answered.
"Um please. I really have to see her." Gilinsky replied.
Part of me wanted to see her, and kiss her all over. Yet another part of me wanted to ignore her and never see her again. It was complicated. It had been so long since I've seen her beautiful face. During that period of time, I really wasn't myself.
"Okay! She's on her way!" Crystal smiled at us, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Great! So how have you been?" Gilinsky asked.
Fuck. I was going to have to face her. Marvelous.

"Go higher on the second note. Let's see how that works." The mixing engineer advised.
I nodded and did as told. The song sounded so much better that way. I smiled at the progress that was being made.
"Great! That's a wrap! The song will be released next week. I'll see you later." My manager, Emily, announced.
I grabbed my stuff and headed to the streets. Suddenly, my phone rang. It was a call from Crystal.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey! We have some visitors at our apartment that want to see you. Are you almost done?" She asked.
"Yeah. I'm on my way right now. Do you want me to pick up some Chinese food?" I suggested.
"Yeah, that'd be great! I'll see you in a few." She said before hanging up.
Right after then, Calum called. I smiled at his thought, and answered the call.
"Hey love! What are you doing?" He asked.
"I just got out of the studio and was going to get some food for a couple of friends. You?" I asked.
"Nothing really. Mind if I join?" He asked.
"No. I'll be over in few. Be ready." I smiled before hanging up.
I walked over to his place, and waited for him. After we met up, we walked over to a Chinese restaurant. We ordered what the guys wanted, and headed back to the apartment. I struggled to open the door due to the food in hands. Calum helped me out, and held the food while I tried to open the door. As soon as I was going to put the key into the handle, the door was opened.
Jack opened it. My Jack. My Jackie.
"Long time no see, huh?"
