-Brenda's point of view

"I hope you don't mind eating McDonalds." Jackie mumbled while pulling out food from the picnic basket.

"Oh, not at all! If anything, McDonalds makes this date one hundred times better." I laughed softly.

He gave me my twenty piece chicken nuggets with medium fries.

"How'd you know my favorite order?" I asked.

"Please, I know you like the back of my hand." He chuckled.

He got out his own burger with fries.

"You know, those chicken nuggets aren't really made of chicken." Jackie laughed.

"Oh shut up! Your burger doesn't have real meat." I shrugged.

"That's not true." He shook his head.

"It so is! But can we please not talk about how the food is fake? I really want to eat some." I laughed.

"Yes, I don't know where this conversation was going to." He agreed.

"So, how'd you get the food here on time before it actually got cold?" I asked.

"Gilinsky and Matt helped get the food and set everything up while I picked you up." He explained.

"Ahh, no wonder." I nodded.

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you and Calum break up?" He asked.

"Uh, we both became distant, and just sort of fell off." I shrugged.

"How? You two were inseparable!"

"I don't know, to be honest. I think that we both fell in love with the idea of being with each other. We just kind of realized it a bit too late. Thankfully though, we broke up on good terms."

"I'm glad you guys are still friends." Jackie smiled.

"So why did you and Mallory break up?" I asked him.

"I just didn't have feelings for her anymore, and to be honest, I don't think I ever did." He shrugged.

"Why are we talking about our exes during our date again?" I asked.

"I have no idea." He laughed.

"So how are your chicken nuggets?"

And just like that, we started a conversation. That was until a phone call interrupted us.

"It's Mallory." Jackie rolled his eyes. "But what were you saying?"

"I personally think that Batman is wa-"

Riiinnnggg!

"I think you should answer it." I suggested.

Jackie nodded and answered the call.

"I can't right now, I'm busy." I heard him say. "I'll just call Gilinsky to help you. If you really needed help, you'd accept the offer given to you. Alright, bye."

"What happened?" I asked.

"Mallory called saying that she needs help with moving her stuff into her apartment, so I'll call G to see if he can help her." Jackie explained.

He called Gilinsky and told him about the situation. Gilinsky, being the nice person he is, agreed to help Mallory.

"Anyways, shall we continue with our date?" Jackie asked.

"We shall." I smiled.

I sighed and slipped on my vans. I didn't really want to help Mallory, but I also don't want her to disturb Brenda and Johnson. I drove through the city, all the way to Mallory's place.
