-Jackie's point of view
"So what am I supposed to do?" I asked Gilinsky over the loud music.
"Mingle with some girls, or something! Come on, man! It's time to move on!" He answered.
I sighed and walked away. I mean, Brandon barely pays attention to me, so might as well. I walked to the kitchen to get a drink so I could loosen up a little.
"What do you want?" A girl asked from behind the counter.
"Um, whatever is fine." I mumbled carelessly.
"Here. My name is Mallory by the way." She smiled at me.
"Jack, Jack Johnson." I nodded.
"Cute. So what brings you here?" She asked.
"Just trying to loosen up a little." I shrugged.
"I see. I can take your mind off whatever is bothering you." She smirked seductively.
"Let's see about that." I smirked and swallowed my drink.
-Brenda's point of view
"Who inspired you to write 'The Heart Wants What it Wants'?" Justin asked.
"Some thing that happened a while ago. Hit me pretty hard, but I'm alright I guess." I shrugged.
"Should've guessed. You don't feel like that no more, or do you?" He asked.
"Um, no. It's in the past, and not the future." I smiled.
But is it really? Have I actually moved on and forgotten about what Jackie and I had?
Of course you did, Brenda! You have Calum, and he makes you really happy. Don't mess this up!
"Great to hear that." He smiled.
Yeah, I guess.
*next day*
I sat in bed with Gilinsky and Shawn. We were talking about our upcoming music, or songs we've released.
"'A Little Too Much,' is one of my favorites." I smiled at Shawn.
"Yeah, I wonder who inspired it." Gilinsky agreed while looking at me, but then smiled weirdly at Shawn
"Oh please. What about 'Distance'? That's a great song!" Shawn suggested, then looked at me.
"I haven't heard that song. Can you play it?" I asked.
"Sure." Gilinsky shrugged.
He got up and grabbed his phone from the nightstand. He fiddled with it for a while before laying it down as music started to play.
"Missed calls and ignored texts and
Late night, I'm stayin' up stressin'
Girl I got you on my mind
I swear this happens every time (yeah)But what about our last fight?
Yeah I know it happened last night
You can put that in the past right?
I'm just tryna' live the fast life (uh)And what's love without trust girl?
And what's love without lust girl?
I've been thinkin' bout us girl
I've been thinkin' bout"I heard Gilinsky's voice sing. It had only started, and the song already brought back memories.
"Really I wanna know
Lookin' at you in the eyes
Even though mine are kinda low
And it's easy to see
That something is hurting you so
Bad
I know that
The rhythm and flow that
I'm putting on this slow track
Are gonna make you so sad
At least I can say for the time
I was satisfied
Answering machine
Hearing your name
Next to mine" Jackie rapped.
