"Happy to see me?" King george said, emerging from the dark. "Why the hell would I ever be happy to see you." The king's smirk grew. "Why the fuck are you here? Shouldn't you be in Britain right now drowing in tea?" John yelled.
"Now now, Mr. Laurens, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to ask you something."
John grumbled, "Let me guess, any plans of attack of where out base it? You must be out of your goddamn mind if you think I'm gonna tell you. I'd rather die!"King George's expression fell. "Actually, I was going to ask you to help us in eliminating your entire army." John jolted up. "Are you really that dumb? Of course no!" George lied his hand on John's sholder and started to talk.
"Think about it Laurens. The British army outnumber yours by a multitude! Join us, and I promise that you will live with a legacy and with no worries." John was about to pry himself off the table and stab the king.
"Fuck you! I would never backstab me country! I don't care about a stupid ass legacy either!" The king's gaze grew dark. He was starring bullets into John. "So you want it the hard way then, hm?"
"What are you going to do, kill me? I won't care." John spat. "Oh heaven, no!" The king gasped. "You're far too valuable for that! Instead, you will kill your army for us.~"
John's heart stopped. He knew he wasnt going to agree to the king's terms, but the king does have his ways of making people do things for him. "Like hell I will."
George snapped his fingers and the medic pulled out a needle with a dark purplish toxin inside. "I thought you might say that. This needle says otherwise." John was confused. "What are you talking about?"
"After my medic here injects you with this, you will have no choice but to kill any acquaintance or friend you have in the army. And, from what I've heard, you are very buddy buddy with everyone there."
John shouted, "NO! I WILL NEVER HURT THEM! THAT THING WONT DO SHIT TO ME!" George giggled. "See you on the other side of the war, Mr. Laurens..." The medic then injected John and he yelled. It hurt more for John since he was struggling so much.
He began to lose consciousness and fell asleep, the last thing he could think was, 'Please forgive me, for whatever I do. If I kill you... I just want to tell you guys I love you... (Y/n), my love...'

You began to worry. "Hercules, where is he? We have to go back!" He brought you into a warm embrace. "I want to, I really do, but Washington wont let me." You grew livid.
"Why!? Why wont he!? John is the best soldier and if we dont have him we are nothing!" Hercules just tightened his grip around you. "I know you love him, (Y/n). Please realize though, the army needs me and you both."
"Why is it so dangerous? It's just a red coat camp, we can take it!" He sighed. "The king. He is there." Your figure became a statue. You were about to drop to the ground in tears before Herc held you upright. "Shh, it's ok. I will make sure whoever Washington sends will bring Laurens back safe."
You were still drowning in your own tears. You wrapped your arms around Hercules's neck and snuggled your head into his chest. "Please, please bring him back safe." You pleaded. He lied his arms around your waist.
"I will. I'll make sure they do."
Alexander started sprinting towards the two of you and began talking. "Lafayette is going to save him!" You and Hercules both were in awe. "So he wont let us go, but he'll let Laf!?" Alex tried to reason with him. "Laf is just going to be directing men he's appointed to take to attack the camp."
"Why cant we go? Please!" You let go of Herc and clasped your hands close to your heart, standing in front of Alex. "Please.. Let me save him." He grabbed your hand and started leading you off somewhere.
"Alex, where are you going!?" Hercules yelled. "Don't worry about it. I'll be right back." You became worried. Was something wrong with him?
He brought you inside the general's tent and let go of your hand at the entrance. "General Washington, Mrs. (Y/l/n) is here."
Washington looked up and noticed you. You had tear stains running down your face."You want to go with Lafayette, don't you?" He asked with a bit of despair in his voice. You nodded. "Yes, sir."
Silence filled the room. "You may join them. But you must stay with Lafayette. If I get any word of you leaving his side, you will be disciplined."
Your expression became a sight of glee and you nodded your head. "Thank you, sir. I will stay next by Lafayette's side."
He dismissed you out if the tent and you went to inform Hercules.
"What! But, (Y/n), don't you think it's a bit too dangerous?" You shook your head. "Anything for Laurens."
"(Y/n)." Lafayette called. "Yes?" He was out of breath, but looked very happy. "He's back! We didn't even need to go after him!"
An overwhelming amount of joy flooded over you. He directed you and Hercules to a medic tent and Laurens was sitting in a chair. He had blood splattered all over him. "Oh my god! Laurens are you ok?" I stuttered.
His eyes panned up to look at yours. His eyes were dark. Devoid of emotions. It must've scarred him to be attacked by not only red coats, but the king aswell. "I'm doing fine, Darling." He said.
His voice didn't sound broken. In fact, it was playful and full of lust. You were confused, but then he took ahold of your hand and sat you down on his lap.
"Laurens, your going to get blood on her!" Hercules said. "It's alright. A little blood never hurt anyone." What was he talking about? Something was seriously wrong.
"Are you sure you're alright?" You asked. He just snuggled his head into the crook of your neck and hummed. Hercules was inraged. You were pretty sure he knew something was wrong too. Herc didn't want to take any chances, even if they're his friend.
"Maybe you should wash up and go to bed." He said. His voice was now cracking. Was he scared? That's at least what you though. "Yes, indeed. Give me a moment." Hercules reluctantly pried himself out of the tent.
Laurens sqeezed his arms around your waist. He was chuckling very deeply. "Laurens-" "I missed you. I missed you so much. I'm so happy you're in my arms again, love." He interrupted
"I'm happy to see you too." He just chuckled at your words. He wouldn't let go. You two sat there for almost half an hour when the two of you heard,
"OH MY GOD, HE'S DEAD!"
