Burning me

I was alone

When it happened. When the fire

Consumed me.

No mother, no father, just

Cackling laughter. Coal of fire. Hot

Festering pain. No freedom resides

Here. I am trapped. No

Tired tears can douse this fear.

Of me, burning alive,

From the inside, out.
