I woke up and 6 and went to do my makeup and hair. I put on my Nike pros and a flannel. I checked my phone while I ate breakfast.
Hope: I know you paid the ticket but that's not the point. Can you at least give me an update? You're not making it easier on yourself SB
I ignored the texts and grabbed my bag. I went to school and Ashlyn and I set up and organized our area and changed into our first outfits.
Garvin: Solo there you are Me: yeah what's up? Garvin: our normal check list Me: hit me Garvin: breakfast Me: check Garvin: makeup Me: check Garvin: hair stuff Me: check Garvin: all your outfits? Me: check Garvin: bow and shoes Me: check Garvin: jewelry off? Me: check Garvin: called Hope? Me: not checked Garvin: not good, we'll talk about it later. How are you feeling? Me: stressed but good Garvin: alright we start in 10 Me: alright
10 minutes later the music for Perfect Illusion came on and I opened the show. We got through the first half without problems. The homecoming court went and then the Greatest came on right after. I had two numbers with a break before I had my 3 dance back to back. During Rise, I saw Ashley come down form her leap wrong. She was supposed to be in the next number but didn't come out.
I had my solo dance with Brad singing All I Want and then the Drumline closed the show. Once it ended I went and changed. Ashley was already rushed to get X-Rays. I reorganized my stuff and then was walking to Garvin's when Ashley called me.
Me: hey, how are you? Ashley: high on painkillers, but its broke and I need you to cover my dances. Me: what! Ashley: you're the only one who knows most of them, plus Mackenzie can teach you Raiders Me: that too! Ashley: yes, I'm in the lift, I am the lift and you're almost the same size as me. Me: uh okay well I have to go Ashley: thank you Me: of course, bye Ashley. Ashley: bye Solo
Garvin: was that Ashley? Me: yeah it's broke, and I have to cover her dances, I don't even know all of them! Plus, I have to be in Raiders too Garvin: Savannah calm down Me: I only have a couple hours to learn 4 dances. I can't do that on top of remembering the ones I already have. Garvin: oh lord, Kiley call Brad she's starting to freak out Me: 4 dances! I don't even have those outfits let alone they'll have one that fits Garvin: Savannah you breaking down won't help
Brad was on his way from the field house and Garvin was trying to calm me down. Garvin got me to stop pacing and when Brad came in he wrapped me in his arms. I calmed down enough and Brad let go
Garvin: alright Savannah, you're going to go get the boys, eat lunch, and take a nap. I will be by at 3:20 to pick you 3 up. Me: okay Garvin: good I will have everything else covered.
I went and got the boys and went home. We had lunch and then we fell asleep watching Zootopia. At 3:10 Garvin came in and woke us up.
Garvin: alright Solo come on. Do you have your white uniform? Me: I don't remember Garvin: I'll go check, get the boys in the car Me: alright
Garvin went to my room and grabbed my uniform. Garvin drove us to the school and went to the auditorium. We went in and found JJ.
JJ: alright I need to get your measurements so we can get you fitted for tonight Me: alright JJ: and Mackenzie is coming is coming at 4:30 to teach you.
From 3:30 to 4:30 I learned the other 3 dances I didn't know before Mackenzie taught me the Raiders dance. While I did, Garvin set up a changing space for me side stage since I was in almost every dance.
Garvin: now eat and look over your knee schedule then JJ wants to do the dance again before we start at 7:30 Me: what time is it now? Garvin: 6:15 Me: okay

I ate my chic-fil-a and then went to find JJ.
JJ: the uniform isn't done yet but here are your shoes and hat.
We went over the dance a couple times and I had to learn when to pop my head up or when to turn it. We also had to do the lift multiple times before JJ said it was consistent. We finished at 7:10 and we all went to change into our first outfit.
After each dance I did, Garvin helped me change and fix my hair if needed. I had a 3-minute break before 2 dances and then a 4-minute break before 4 dances in a row. After that they had the homecoming court and crowned the Queen.
Ainsworth: Our 2016 Homecoming maid of honor is Megan Portick. And now... our 2016 Homecoming Queen is Ms. Kiley Brandon!
A little bit after they got pictures Mr. Ainsworth got the mic again.
Ainsworth: Now this next award is one of my favorites. Mr. and Mrs. West Point are two people who embody not only our school spirit but enthusiasm for learning, respect for themselves and others, and works hard at anything they do. This year's Mr. West Point is Brad Evans and Mrs. West Point is Savannah Solo.
We took pictures and then I had to go get ready for my next dance. After the Greatest dance JJ and Garvin had 4 minutes to get me into a Raider uniform, my hair in a bun with my hat, redo my makeup, and my boots on. I made it on stage at the last second. I had 4 more number right after. I had a small break and then the last 5 numbers.
The show ended at 9:45. Garvin and I cleaned up my area and then she had to help JJ do something. I sat in the car and fell asleep. Garvin just brought me to her house so she could make sure I showered and ate.
Garvin: alright Solo go shower Me: mm
I found my way to the guest room and showered. I got dressed and got in bed.
Garvin: nope not yet, you still need to eat Me: I don't wanna Garvin: do I hear whining? Me: no Garvin: then come on
I ate in the kitchen and then went back to bed and fell asleep.
