How I Became Savannah Solo Part 7

Thursday November 17th

sorry it's late I was out of town yesterday - Blaire

I woke up at 6 and got dressed. I got Duke's vest and food ready for later and went to eat breakfast. I ate and then headed off to school. I parked and went to English to test. Second hour and third hour went by quickly and I went home. I got my cheer and soccer bag ready and out Duke's vest on him. I went and picked up the food before going to the stadium. The girls were released at lunch and came in and we all ate before Barron came in.

Barron: alright girls make sure you get your jerseys and load up. Solo I want to speak with you
Me: yes, sir
Barron: on the way, there I don't want you too far away from the bus please. On the way, back that's all you since you're leaving early
Me: alright

The girls got on the bus and Duke and I got in my Audi. Coach Barron pulled the bus out and I got behind him. I got on the interstate first but then got back behind the bus. An hour and half later we got to St. Joseph's High School. I parked the and got out with Duke. I let him go to the bathroom and then joined the team. We went to the bench and put on our cleats. I led warmups and then we did some drills.

We got shots and changed into our jerseys. Once we got our break, we took the field. The ref blew the whistle and St. Joe's kicked off. We won the ball and kept possession. I got the ball and had two defenders in front of me and a midfielder coming from behind. Caroline ran and I split the two defenders and she had a breakaway. Caroline's goal made it 1-0. Megan had a goal off and free kick to make it 2-0. The halftime whistle blew and we went to the bench.

In the second half, we kicked off and kept the ball. Mary and Caroline brought it up the field and Caroline played me the through the ball. I ran onto it as the keeper came off her line. I chipped it over her and into the net to make it 3-0. 10 minutes later we got a corner and Megan sent it in. The ball came in and bounced before I volleyed it in to make it to 4-0. The final whistle blew and we went to the bench. It was 5:20 and I needed to get going if I was going to make it.

Barron: I need your uniform and then you can go
Me: alright

While he talked to the girls I stripped down to my Nike pros and sports bra. I gave Barron my uniform and Duke and I ran to my car. I sped off and got the interstate. I went straight to Sterlington and got there right after kick off. No one was around do I quickly changed into my uniform then put Duke's vest on him. I jogged to the gate and Garvin let me in.

Garvin: hey how was the game?
Me: good we won 4-0 and I had two goals, Caroline had one and Megan had one.
Garvin: good. Go hop in while we have a time out.

I set my bag down and Duke laid down beside it. I got in my spot and joined in the cheer. The game felt forever but we won 48-14. I got home around 11:30 and showered. I ate and the went to bed.
