"I couldn't do it anymore!" I yell back. "Have you not seen how many people have given me greif for being with her?! I couldn't take it anymore!!"

"You just broke her heart because of people making fun of you? So what! You said you loved her!"

"Dad, I had to!"

"No, Jake, no you didnt. You broke up with her for your reasons. No one else's! Just yours!" My dad takes a breath. "Im done fighting with you, but kylie, she was the best girl I've ever seen you date. And maybe you shouldn't have dumped her."

I sit there thinking to myself. Should I have dumped her? Agh. I just don't know.

I grab my phone and go to our old text messages, I haven't deleted them yet. Yet....

I put my phone down and see tears land on the screen.

All of a sudden 2 hands are on my shoulders. I turn around to shed my mom. "Hey hon, how are ya doing?"

"Obviously not good."

"It'll be okay sweetie." She says sitting next to me at the kitchen island.

I look ever at her and she stares at me straight in the eyes. "Maybe you should just try to get her back hon."
