We slept on the park bench we had just kissed on hours earlier. It was a peaceful sleep, even though my mind was running what just happened over and over again. His lips felt so soft yet so rough, so delicate yet so desperate.

He's bad news Melia, I thought to myself.

But he saved me, the other half of my mind thought back.

My mind was a war zone of he loves me, he loves me not.

I decided to just live in the moment. Staying with him for just a few more hours won't do any harm, will it?

I rubbed my groggy eyes and looked over to him. His head was lying in my lap. His lips were parted just slightly and his eyes lightly closed.

I cupped his stubbled face in my hands, admiring him. I could still see in colour, as long as we were making some kind of contact. It only gives me more of a reason to keep touching him.

"W-who's there?"

I giggled as he spoke, half awake, eyes barely opened.

"It's Melia. Good morning sleepy head," I smiled. I was going to say his name and ask him what he wanted to do today - until I suddenly realized I had never learned his name.

"Morning," he grumbled back, running his hands through his charcoal black hair.

"I've never had the time to ask your name, you know, because of all the...events that have occurred." I smirked and looked down. It's been a wild ride and I still had many questions, but his name could be a start.

He sheepishly returned my smirk. "It's Ashton, but it'd be cute if you called me Ash."

I felt the heat rise in my pale cheeks. Why was he being such a flirt?

I let out a pathetic fake laugh. "O-okay sure."

There was awkward silence as I zoned out, focusing in on our surroundings. The sun was just rising and the warm colours from the sunset seemed to radiate onto my body.

"The sunset is absolutely stunning," I told him.

"Agreed."

I swear I could have heard him mumble 'just like you' under his breath but I'm sure it was just my mind playing tricks on me. It was early, after all.

"So," I broke the silence once again. "I think you have a lot of explaining to do, Ash."

He flashed that bright smile that will forever burn in my brain. "I'm always looking for conversation, especially with a girl as fine as yourself, so go ahead. Ask me anything you please."

There it was again, that irresistible and charming while also irritating and narcissistic personality. I was torn between loving it and hating it.

I was never into bad boys or ones who are so full of themselves that they don't care about anything else, but I let my mind trick me into thinking he was different.

"Well, let's start with this; how did you find me?" I asked.

"Wait, give me a second. If you're going to be questioning every single thing i've done i'm going to need something to get through this," he laughed, pulling a bent cigarette from his pocket, followed by a white lighter.
