Chapter 3

I need a healing for my soul, so give me a healing for my soul...  Kelly Price - "Healing"

4 hours later

"After talking to the police how do you feel about the whole situation Casey?" Talisha asked as she grabbed her car keys from her back pocket and quickly walked to her 2013 aqua blue Honda Accord to go to the hospital.

"I'm through talking about anything girl, I just want to see my baby. Is that too much to ask for right now?" Casey confessed as she opened the passenger side of the car to get in.

"I guess Malone want to leave and not say a thing to me any more." Talisha mumbled to herself as she started her car.

It was like Malone had no patience when it came to just being there for her and her family. It really messed her mind whenever she found herself in deep thought about it from time to time. Malone was his own man and he was building his own empire in his own world. His empire excluded her out of everything she could ever want from him and that included a family. Even though Talisha was still young to many people she still was only 25 years old with a whole lot more of life to live. Being by her sister side through all the madness that was going on just gave her peace of mind in an odd way.

"What did you just mumbled underneath your breath 'Lisha?" Casey questioned as she paid attention to the signs on the highways that seem to just never change as if the car was not even moving.

"I was just wondering about Malone. He actually rode over here with me and everything." Talisha replied now smiling just from the thought of him.

"Mama Jingles probably would have loved to see him at the hospital too. You know she love her some Malone!" Casey responded back laughing to herself just picturing Mama Jingles face when she see Malone.

"Yeah, girl you right about that. I can't really say that I am his official girl friend or anything, but I damn sure anit no side line hoe." Talisha hissed just thinking about what trick house he could be at spear the moment.

"Well, now that we are at the hospital 'Lisha lets just make sure we just put reality to the side and focus on Cavon." Casey said reassuring her sister everything was going to be okay.

"Hi, I am here to find out what room is Cavon Rightlot is in right now?  I am his mother and this is his aun't." Casey said as she looked the medical receptionist dark brown eyes.

"Hello, ladies. We had a Cavon Rightlot who checked into our hospital around 4 o' clock earlier today and he is room 16 on the second floor." The receptionist replied back as she pointed them to the elevators.

Once Casey and Talisha step foot on the elevator they both exited there thoughts of their own problems and became one with the innocent life of Cavon. Both women felt guilty more than anything. Casey was feeling like she did not protect her kid enough to put her life in harms way. She had every built up aggression against Everton than words could ever explain. Talisha thoughts where just eating her alive to the point she had goose bumps forming on her arms and her eyes where quickly filling with tears. She felt so bad for her sister not knowing how to console her during there silent walk into Cavon's hospital room where they heard voices.

Once Casey opened the door she saw her son hooked up to an I.V., on a machine, and and with his eyes closed. She never thought the day would have came to see her baby laying on a hospital bed fighting for his life. Everyone in the room just looked like blurs. She had no focus on no one, but her baby.

"Cavon, baby, mama so... sorry. Please, forgive me my baby." Casey cried as she caressed his face with the palm of her hand crying uncontrollably.

Everyone in the room just watched silently not able to find the strength to pull Casey away from her son. Mama Jingles just remained seated in one of the two hospital chairs in the room by the side of Cavon's bed with nothing but sympthy in her eyes. Over the years death always came knocking at someone's door she was close to. She had no fear of death at all because to her death was going to be the best thing that cured the pain and suffering she lived through. At 57 she saw life very differently from many of the people around her especially when it came to death.
