Chapter 19

Like gangsta's we gon strap up for this war, 'cause I'd die for mines, 'cause your worth fightin' for... Jennifer Hudson - "We Gone Fight"

Talisha grabbed her sister by her loose curls in sew-in and started punching her brutally in the back of her head relentlessly. With every blow severed, she cussed and tugged harder on her hair, giving her the ass whooping that she knew her sister deserved. Warren couldn’t stand any longer to see Talisha possibly hurting the potential mother of his seed. He grabbed Casey by her stomach with a tight grip as he yelled at Talisha.

“Get the fuck off of my baby mama bitch! Get off of you sister Talisha! This shit not right! Warren yelled with rage as Casey’s bloody face stained his clover green v-neck t-shirt.

Raymond watched the girls swing at one another merciless. The fight between the two sisters happened so fast that he was just starting to take it all in. He was just stunned to see Talisha’s project side come out of her so quickly and retaliating own little sister. Talisha had no remorse for beating her sister up for blood. Raymond watched as Warren tugged and pulled Casey away from her sister’s claws. It seemed as if the more Warren pulled Casey the tighter the grip Talisha held to her sister’s hair. He wanted it to be a fair fight after almost five minutes of them going at it; he had to help break it up. Everton could have cared less, who was getting the best of who. He just watched the fight as he smoked on yet another cigarette to ease the tension in the air.

“Don’t pull me back Raymond! I’m not finished with this bitch yet!” Talisha yelled trying to break free from his tight grip around her waist.

“You can’t take the 9th Ward out of you huh Talisha? You just going to have to stop right now ‘cause you getting too carried away with this fighting.” Raymond said as he broke her tight grip from her little sister’s sew-in.

“Fuck, you bitch! You still not about that life!” Casey said calmly as she spit out blood and fixed her hair.

“Y’all just some true project bitches! Neither one of y’all know who or what y’all want in life and both of y’all have no respect for your selves or y’all bodies.” Everton added in as he laughed to himself and flicked the bud of his cigarette at Casey.

Everton thought that it was a complete turn off watching Casey lose the fight against her sister. What made him laugh to himself, was the thought of Casey getting served in front of her own crib. She still was no match for Talisha’s hands even after the shit talkin’. The way that she took that ass whoopin’ for him made him feel proud on the inside. Throughout all the years that Everton and Casey shared together, she never proved herself to be worthy of Everton. All the dirty and salty looks she received from other females around her way never fazed her. It seemed as if every other week rumors where spreading like warm shea butter on ashy skin. He thought that Casey soon loose her cool and would quickly begin lashing out on just any random female who mentioned his name. Casey for the most part stayed to herself. She was cautious where ever she went, because she knew that there could be a price on her head if Everton did the unpredictable in the streets.

Something was not right about what was going on to Casey as well. After getting her ass handed to her on a sliver platter, she had to open her mouth up and speak her truth.

“Warren, you didn’t have to pull me away from my sister. I don’t need anybody to save me from anything that I put myself into. Plus, Warren, Everton wants to marry me. I hope I am not pregnant with your child, because I honestly don’t know what I will do. I don’t need you or your brother in my life of my son’s life.”

“Casey, you took your ass whoppin’ like a grown ass women. To hear that you are pregnant for Warren or could be, will not change anything. If you want sympathy then you need to ask God for forgiveness instead of playing like it will be all good if you keep pushing people away.” Talisha inquired as she put her sweaty twist-out hair into a low bun.

“Whatever Talisha. You haven’t been in contact with me for the past few days to know that Warren, raped me the night you left with your trade. But, it is all right ‘cause I don’t want your sympathy or your words of encouragement. ” Talisha inquired as she put her sweaty twist-out hair into a low bun.

“Whatever Talisha. You haven’t been in contact with me for the past few days to know that Warren, raped me the night you left with your trade. But, it is all right ‘cause I don’t want your sympathy or your words of encouragement. ”

Talisha tried to fight away her tears, but her heart was heavy for her sister. She could not believe what she just did to her sister. Of course she knew that her little sister had a smart mouth and an attitude right along with it to back it up, when she wanted to. Casey was still her little sister and all she truly had left to make a positive impact on. She felt guilty for going behind Raymond and leaving her sister behind, but she knew that she can look out for herself. Talisha walked over to her sister holding her nose from her vicious nose bleed and opened her arms.

“Give me a hug, bitch! You know I can’t stay mad at you for long.” She laughed as her sister rolled her eyes and started to grin.

Mama Jingles always told the sisters to never allow dick to make them split. It wasn’t until that moment Talisha knew that her sister really and truly needed God and a break-through to happen in her life. Raymond, Everton, and Warren were confused at what was happening. Cavon ran outside and hugged the sisters as they embraced one another. Casey whispered to her sister as they hugged, “Don’t ever whoop my ass unless we playin’ Dominos.”

Raymond smiled and said out loud, "We fight for what we love and remember loving people isn't easy to accomplish."
