Sorry for the long wait on this one but worry not, the potato is back in business, with a few "protective" boys in tow!

Spy's pov
It's been a couple weeks now since (y/n) came to live with us. There were no missing child reports but even if there were, I don't think I'd give her back. She's my little ball of laughter, if you'd have met her you wouldn't believe that she had been at death's door recently but the doc is a good one.
Too much so. He seems to think that by helping her he's secured himself a place as her protector. Or parental figure. I cannot let that happen! If he becomes her father figure that leaves me out of the picture, and I will not allow that. She is mon petit ange. And mine alone.
"Mr spy, are you ok?" A tiny voice calls out and I snap back into reality. (y/n) is looking up at me with the cutest expression.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I'm still puzzling over her words, I'd be hoping that she would refer to me as "dad" or "papa" by now, instead of "Mr spy" but you can't rush children. She'll think of me as a parent soon enough.
"It's just you were not talking and you looked angry. It was a scary face. I like it better when you smile..." she grins at me to prove her point and I laugh.
"Ah, don't worry toots, spy's probably angry 'cause we're annoying him. Let's go play outside instead. You can show me your trick again, eh?" scout, who was leaning casually against the wall spoke up and smirked at me. The worst part was that (y/n) seemed to think he was right. She stared at me wide-eyed and nodded at scout.
"I'm sorry Mr spy, I didn't know I was annoying you. Let's go scout. Race you!" She began to run of and scout ran after her, pausing only to give me a smug smile. That bastard.
And what's with the calling him scout? Not Mr scout? Did that mean... scout was a higher up than me? It makes sense, he's a giant child himself so of course they would relate, and scout spent his childhood without a father so he'd be anxious to prove himself. The more I think about it the more it makes sense. He's competing with me for the title of (y/n)'s father! And the only way to ensure you win a contest. Get rid of the competition. He's going to take her away from me. He's going to get rid of me, steal her out of my life! I have to get rid of him first.
Let's do the Time Skip again~
We're at dinner. The engineer cooked it seeing as he's the only one of us that cooks decently, excluding myself. It's just scouts unwillingness to eat anything foreign. However, it seems as though we didn't need to worry about that as he hasn't shown up.
Neither has Demoman for some strange reason. Demoman is probably passed out drunk, as he usually is. Scout however seems to have just disappeared. There is no trace of him anywhere, I made sure to clean the blood off my suit afterwards. (y/n) seems upset however.
I take a seat next to her and frown slightly as I see medic do the same. To my dismay, he speaks up first.
(y/n) are jou ok? Jou seem a little down. Anysing bothering jou, jou can tell me."
"I think she'd rather tell me." I interject and a dark shadow passes over medic's face. (y/n)'s lip quivers and she sniffs.
"I-it's just... Scout and I were playing and Demoman showed me how to make things go boom earlier and now none of them are here. D-Do you think they left because they hate me now?" Tears start to gather in her eyes and I wrap a protective arm around her, all to aware of medic doing the same thing.
Before either of us could speak engineer walks in carrying plates loaded with food. He's not usually this into cooking, could he be trying to win over (y/n)?
