Jen's POV

Josh seems a little different. He's becoming really protective and a bit cuddly. He currently had his arm around me. It's not uncomfortable, but somewhat awkward. I searched my mind for a reasonable excuse to get up. Eventually, a decent excuse formed in my head.
"Josh," I began, peering into the empty bowl of popcorn, "I'm going to go get some more popcorn."
I began to stand up with the bowl in my hands when Josh pulled me back down.
"Don't be silly. I'll do it." He smiled.
"Are you sure...?" I asked, uncertain how to respond.
He didn't answer. Instead, he grabbed the bowl out of my hands and walked to the 'kitchen'. This isn't exactly what I was planning, but it will work. I turned my focus back to the tv, and let my confused thoughts go away.
Josh returned a few minutes later, holding the bowl filled with fresh popcorn. He carefully sat down next to me and placed the bowl in between us. Within seconds, my hand has scooped up a handful of popcorn. I didn't hesitate to shove it in my mouth. Popcorn is a gift from the gods.
I looked over at Josh. He's watching the movie and eating some candy. He looks so peaceful and relaxed. Without me even realizing it, a smile spread across my face. Josh seemed to notice it before I did, and he smiled back. We stayed that way for a few seconds, staring into each other's eyes, until Josh turned to face the tv. I did the same.
(A/N: Sorry guys this probably sounds really boring but I promise it will get more interesting. I might have to end this chapter early because there's not that much to say)
I suddenly felt myself drifting off to sleep. I looked up at the clock on the wall and noticed it's 11:37 p.m. It might not be that late but I'm still tired. Josh seemed to notice that I'm tired, but he didn't do anything.
My eyes began to close a few minutes later, and my head started to fall to the side. The last thing I remember is my head resting on Josh's chest before I fall asleep.

A/N: I'm sorry that chapter was really short and boring but I promise it will get more interesting. I didn't really have that much to write about at the moment for Jen's POV so that's why it's so short. The next chapter (Josh's POV) will be longer and more interesting. Also, I'm just getting over a nasty cold and I have February vacation starting this Saturday so I'll be able to type a lot this week. I'm going to try to type 3-4 new chapters over the break so stay tuned! (:
