Natalie's P.O.V.

"I'm sorry about earlier," said Cade as I took a bite of my overly salted pizza. I smiled.

"It's okay, it's hard to re-adjust from jealous boyfriend to just a friend," I said, pulling his hand in mine and rubbing my thumb over his hand.

"We are friends right?" asked Cade.

"Yes, I promise," I said. The speaker crackled above us and the DJ's voice interrupted one of Selena Gomez's biggest hits, Come And Get It.

"This is friends skate, so bring out your buds and lets skate to this faithful song, it's Oath by Cher Lloyd. I pulled Cade out of his seat and listened as Becky G's voice filled the skatorium,

"Yo, my best friend, best friend 'til the very end," I belted out the lyrics as Becky G rapped.

"Ugh," said Cade, re-tying his skate before stabilizing against me and skating around the rink. We skated to the song, holding hands like a couple.

"Awe," said a sickly sweet voice behind us. I skidded to a stop in front of the DJ's colorful booth and turned around. Brynn's best friend, Jolene, was behind us, with a sliver Canon camera in her hands and a lipsticked smirk on her face. I scanned Jolene's body up and down. On her tiny figure was a pair of average roller skates and a short pink dress. Jolene smirk changed to a horrified expression.

"Turning to chicks now, are you?" Jolene asked, waving the Canon in front of me and Cade. I shook my head, my blonde hair colliding with my mascara in the process.

"Didn't you just hear the song?" Cade questioned Jolene. "The DJ announced friends skate," Cade emphasized over the sound of Cher Lloyd's British voice. Jolene rolled her eyes, as if she didn't believe what Cade had said. I listened as the two bantered and went back and forth as the last few bars of Oath faded out and the DJ's mic crackled above my head again.

"Now lets give those couples a chance to skate to a so called 'couples playlist'. This playlist was requested by @Jolene underscore underscore by Twitter," said the DJ, sounding as if he was straining to talk as he read something. The speakers made a crackling sound and then smoothed out to the sound of Let Her Go by Passenger.

"Let's get some pizza," said Cade. "Jolene ruined the mood," Cade walked over to the food court and ordered a medium cheese pizza with olives. Cade paid with a ten and was handed a number. I took the number from Cade and pushed into the pin on our table. I sat down and loosely untied my skates.

"Ugh, I'm starving!" I exclaimed as the waitress came out and placed the fresh pizza onto the table, taking the number from the pin. "Thanks!" I said cheerfully, as she eyed Cade, who was near the drink machine, getting himself a Coke and me an Orange Fanta.

Jess's P.O.V.

"So, how are the studies of Jess and Casey?" Mrs. Johnson asked, setting her empty wine glass in front of her nearly full plate.

"We get straight A's and we do many school activities," Casey said, placing her nearly full glass on the table with a clink, spilling a little of the sparkling cider onto the maroon table cloth.

"I am a cheerleader and I am also on the volleyball team," voiced Brynn in all her annoying glory. "I also am a teachers helper and I am in varsity choir,"

"That's great! Are you an alto or soprano?" My mom asked.

"Moooommm," I complained.

"Now Jess," said my mom.

"I'm an alto," said Brynn. "Some of us don't try to be someone we aren't," she said casually.

I wanted to scream, I DON'T! But then I realized, she was more aiming it to everyone else that was sitting still at the table. Joy, this would be one heck of a dinner!
