Natalie's P.O.V.

"Gotcha," said Jolene, waving the camera in front of our faces. Cade lunged at her but Jolene swiped the camera away and hid it.

"Not so fast," Jolene said, a wicked smile on her face. "I thought you told the entire school that you were both 'just friends'," she mimicked.

"W-we are," stuttered Cade.

Jolene looked confused, "its more like friends with benefits," she said slowly.

"No!" we both exclaimed in sync. "We are just friends!" I exclaimed, pushing myself away from Cade.

"Yeah," Cade echoed. Jolene smiled.

"Bet y'all wouldn't want this getting out would you?" asked Jolene.

"It's not like its a secret," said Cade. "we are best friends, and because we are best friends, we sometimes get caught up in the moment, which means we accidentally kiss each other. Big deal? Not really, it just means that we think each other are good looking,"

"Dang, hottie can be deep," mumbled Jolene.

"It was a mistake anyways," said Cade. I looked at Cade, without making eye contact. It was a mistake?

"Yeah," I echoed. "A mistake,"

If it had been a mistake, why'd it feel so good?

Brynn's P.O.V. (surprise :)

Ew. I was wearing a pair of Hollister sweats and some unnamed brand tank shirt thingie that belonged to the beeyotch's best friend, Jess.

This is repulsive.

Not only was I in Hollister, of all brands, but I was in gross undergarments still coated in whatever food had been thrown by Jess's mom, Willow.

"Brynn, hun, you done yet?" asked Willow, her sickly rude voice floating underneath the door.

"Almost," I said sharply. I pulled my dirty things off of the ground and placed them in the Walmart bag that Jess had originally put the clean clothes in. I picked up my phone and pushed open the bathroom door.

"Awe Brynn, you look adorable," said Willow, holding her hands out for the pack of clothes that I had been wearing. "I'm sorry about your clothes, I'm sending Rico out to get everything dry cleaned as soon as your mom is done changing. You and the girls probably want an explanation don't you?"

"Yes," I said casually.

"Then come to the table and eat dessert, I promise, we'll explain everything," she said, untying my bag and reaching into it and pulling out the sequin top to my outfit.

"Okay," I said solemnly.

"Alright, now that everyone's here and washed up, we will tell all of you why we made such a horrific mess," proclaimed Willow.

"The story starts back to ninth grade, freshman year," said Willow, a faraway look gleaming in her eyes.

"Willow and I were the best of friends, and we were also the most popular girls in school," said my mom.

"We also had the best boyfriends, their names were Adam and Neil, and they were jocks on the football team," I looked puzzled, my dad's name was neither Adam nor Neil.

"We were at a party one night when the ridge in our friendship started," said Willow, "and all because of Neil,"

"Out of happiness that we were going to our very first party, we dressed identical in 80's hipster chic, only to end up drunk by Neil," said my mom. "it turns out that he had spiked our drinks beforehand, giving us two heavy doses of alcohol,"

"After the drinks, you know what happened then, hell was blown," said Willow, daintily covering her mouth at the taboo word.

"I think, even though we've forgiven and forgotten, tonight was like it all over again, just switch out the men for Adam and Neil, and add a few people as bystanders," said my mom. "So all in all, we're sorry," she said.

"Apology accepted," said Elle and Jess.

"Accepted," said Casey in a monotone voice.

"I accept your apology," I said.

"Great, now lets eat some dessert!" exclaimed the mothers.
