"There!" Charlotte exclaimed.

She and Will stopped to see Elizabeth being dragged towards the docks. The two broke into a sprint to go after her but stopped when a large brute of a pirate stepped in their way. He bore a peculiar shaped sword Charlotte could not recognize, with a curved blade.

She was then jerked backwards by Will in time for the blade to swing in front of them. They looked up to see the pirate bare his teeth at them with a loud animalistic growl.

"Go after Elizabeth!" Will instructed, keeping his arms up in front of Charlotte who just looked at him.

"And leave you with this monstrosity?!"

"I'll be fine, just get Elizabeth!"

Wordlessly, she glanced up at the large pirate, then back to Will, before running off.

Pushing through the confused streets of Port Royal, dodging away from anybody that flung her away or fell on her path. The redcoats had come out to reestablish order and reinforce security, but it appeared to be a losing battle.

As she turned the corner she stopped in time to see one of the navy members striking a pirate with a blade straight in their throat. Charlotte stopped in horror to see the grotesque sight of the blood pouring from the wound as the pirate slumped down. The man from the navy turned around and saw her and his eyes widened.

He opened his mouth to say something to her but a loud and wet gurgle came out instead. Then the man dropped dead. Charlotte looked up to see the pirate she had just witnessed dying now standing there, very much alive, grinning.

The pirate giggled and wiggled his fingers, "boo!"

Charlotte gasped and withdrew the sword instantly. The pirate's grinning face vanished at the sight of her weapon. He blew a raspberry at her then ran away, cackling. Charlotte stood there, dumbfounded. She stared after the pirate.

Then the shock wore off as she remembered Elizabeth and continued running towards the docks.

She spotted Elizabeth after reaching the port, in time to see the pirates push off in a row boat with her seated at the front.

"Elizabeth..,." Charlotte murmured, her heart racing as shock came over her, "no! Elizabeth!" she cried, running after her sister. "ELIZABETH!"

Elizabeth heard her this time as she looked up from her dazed expression with a start, "Charlotte!" she called in returned.

Charlotte raced across the wooden planks, leaping over the gaping hole the canon had made earlier that day. She clambered up the steps and continued to run, heaving as her eyes were trained on the boat carrying her sister away.

Past the docks was a short distance of black Caribbean waters from where Elizabeth's boat was rowing towards. Charlotte wondered if she could jump at the precise moment...maybe, with a brush of luck, she could land into the boat and knock off the pirates...Somehow.

The end of the dock neared, and the distance between it and Elizabeth stretched wider.

Jump, now! Charlotte told herself, yet, as she reached the end of the docks panic overwhelmed her. She came to a slapping halt and grabbed hold of the post to come to a complete stop. Her chest stung as she heaved for air. Her muscles twitched as she watched the black waters slosh hungrily against the wooden posts of the docks...mere inches from her feet.

She looked up to see the boat in the distance, slowly entering the ghastly fog upon the surface of the sea...

and she disappeared.

Elizabeth was gone.
