... ... ...

As the night comes closer, the moon starts to shines upon the dark sky but Carl Vincent ignores it even though he knows how dangerous it would be in his part. He still runs through the woods where he might find the lady in the cliff.

"I finally found you!" he stated after getting to the first place where they met. And suddenly he felt that his words are like déjà vu that made him stops for a while.

"You really did come!" it said that snaps him out from a deep thought.

"Pardon?" he asked.

"I said, you found me," it said before turning its back at him and went at the side of the cliff to sit.

He smiles. "Of course! I'll come to find you that's why I'm here." He answered as he follows her and sits beside her.

"Well..." it said then shrugs.

"So, what are you trying to do here? Jumping again?"

"You read my mind!" it gladly answered that makes him laugh. "What? Are you not going to join me?" it asked with a smile this time.

"Woah! You really surprise me! But are you sure you're going to jump out?"

"Well, I'm confident so why don't you just join me and try to find out if I'll be alive." It suggested.

He sighs. "You're too tough, ha!"

"Of course and I think you still want my name... right?" it asked out of the blue.

"Of course! I still want to know your name."

"Then... follow me down!" it said and before he could give an answer she already went down the cliff.

"Darn it! She really jumps out!" he said before he followed her like a fool.

... ... ...

For a moment, Carl Vincent was mesmerized from what he just saw after they both landed at the bottom of the cliff. He totally saw how she manages to be safe and sound after jumping out of the cliff because it seems so light and so slow as if her body was not affected by the so called gravity of the earth.

Then his memories strikes back from a dream that he continues dreaming but also continue forgetting every time he wakes up. But now that he watches her fall down on the ground, he remembers something from his dreams.

Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!

He heard the sound of a heart pounding so fast and while looking at the lady in his front, he saw someone else face. A face that he only sees through his dreams!

"So, how was it?" it asked as it goes closer to him but he didn't answer he just keeps staring at her intently. "Hey! Are you alright?" she was about to touch him but he grabs her hand to stop her.

"I'm sorry!" he apologizes as he let her go and walks back trying to distance himself and avoid his eyes from her.

"Hey! What's going–––"

"Stop! Don't come closer!" he said before it steps forward to him. "I think... I should live."

"Wait! Why?"

"Because..." that sound.

"What?" it asked curiously.

"That sound?"

"Sound? What sound?"

"Your heart." He honestly answered. "Your heartbeat," he added.
