Eating out had been on the agenda for both Julie and Anna, knowing how busy Kate was, they decided to make a visit at her work place. This was also an excuse on their part, to see Kate.

Thankfully they'd arrived in time while the place wasn't so busy, with a few custormers. It was also close to closing time and they'd decided that they would wait for Kate, to be done.

A smile had lifted on Kate's face when she saw them and once she was not busy, she joined the girls.

Anna seemed to be in a good mood and was quite chatty. The two girls let her lead the conversation and be the one to do most of the talking. At some point, Anna took notice of how distracted both Julie and Kate were, which made her to stop talking.

" You know, it wouldn't be a crime to say something too, " she said, but neither replied.

When she cleared her throat, this seemed to catch their attention.

" Sorry, it's been a long day." Kate explained.

Her reasons were different but she stuck with her explanation.

Her mind was flooded with alot of thoughts, mainly from what had happened right after school. She had volunteered to get Nick's bag, which had extra clothing from Danny's car.

There was nothing new about this because both friends, would have a bag of extra clothes in the other's car. What she did not expect however, was a blood stain on one of Danny's shirts, along with his work out shoes.

She had frozen in place at the sight of his pocket knife, peeking from under his bunched up clothes.

She found it weird that he'd brought it to school, not to mention the shirt. Despite her curiosity, she pretended to not have seen anything and returned with Nick's bag.

She knew better than to assume and decided that it was none of her business.

It sucked that it continued to bother her even now.

Julie on the other hand still felt uneasy about the whole confrontation with Max. Withholding the truth about Max's real identity from her cousin, bothered her too much. She didn't like keeping things from Kate but she had made a promise to Max.

No matter how much all this weighed heavy on her, she still understood that this whole thing was between Max and Kate.

" So, what's up with the you guys? You look like you have alot going on." Anna finally asked.

At first, none responded.

Anna sighed, " I didn't come here to talk to the air you know. Something is bothering you, Julie?" The question was suddenly directed to Julie, who was taken by surprise.

This time, even Kate looked at Julie.

Julie caved in after hesitating for a while. " It's nothing I can't handle. Oh, wait, the prank call." Now she looked back at Kate.

" I thought we were done with this conversation." Kate said, now frowning.

" No, we left it hanging when mom and dad arrived. I still think they deserve to know."

" No."

" Kate!" Julie gasped, not expecting the sudden refusal.

Kate sighed. " It was a stupid prank call and I don't see the need to worry them over nothing."

" And I would have agreed with you on this, if only that call wasn't so...." Julie trailed off when realisation hit her, on where her thoughts had gone to.

" What?" Both Anna and Kate asked.

Julie took a breath before she spoke up again. " Look, that call was downright creepy. I don't like what happened, it could have triggered so many bad memories." Julie shook her head, a deep frown visible on her face.
