I was shocked to see Ruby sitting elsewhere and not in our regular seats, where we've been sitting all these days.
That too beside a girl, Katy, the one I hated the most in our class.
Ruby was not even looking at me.

During break, her new stupid gang had left her and gone to the cafeteria.
I thought of taking advantage of that chance and Valentino readily accompanied me.

She was so cool and normal, as if nothing had happened at all.

"Ruby, why did you change your place? I mean, is everything okay?" I asked her.

She replied, "Oh comeon, Elsa! How long are we gonna be together, hun? It's just for a change!"

Now, this was something I really couldn't take. Even though a tear rolled down my cheek, I managed to hide it and diverted the topic.

After the school, I was hoping we'd go together.
"By the way, Elsa, I have some personal work. So you start to home", was all Ruby told me.

We never hid anything from each other, but today...!
I understood that she was hiding things from me and this Anna had absented herself again today.

I got back home, took a shower and went to see Jessy.
She was playing games in the T.V.
I sat beside and helped her.

"Elsa, would you mind if I tell you something, even though I'm not supposed to?" She asked me with a frown.

"Never baby! You're my princess." I told her.

"Your friend Anna had come home, but asked me to keep it a secret."

Oh god! Again? But why?
"What did she want then?" I asked her anxiously.

"Nothing! I must get into my room now. Bye Elsa!" and she left.

I'm going mad!
What the hell is happening with these girls!
Is Jessy hiding something from me just coz Anna had asked her not to, or really she did just nothing?
Ruby's change in behaviour itself was enough to get me mad and upset. Now what is Anna planning after all?

I took my mobile and called Anna, no answer.
Texted her some 3 lengthy messages, as to why she was doing that, but there wasn't any reply.

I decided to see her and soon, left to her house.

Her granny opened the door.
I greeted her and told that I was Anna's friend, Elsa.
She welcomed me and led me to Anna's room.

"Hey Anna. How're you?" I asked her.

"Hello! Just trying to be fine soon", she replied.

She was very weak. Her eyes could clearly be seen out and skin was pale, due to fever.
I spoke to her about health and somehow, got to the actual topic.
I know it was insane to speak to her about it, when she was sick. But I had no option.

"I was worried for you Anna. Why weren't you responding to my calls or texts?" I asked her.

"It's actually that I lost my mobile, the night I was returning from Valentino's birthday party."

I gave a sigh and relaxed.
But wait, if she's so sick and bed ridden, how did she come to my home?
