I was sitting outside on a small bench, sweating slightly as the sun shone brightly in my eyes. I had to squeeze my eyes together to see, or just close them. I was holding a small bouquet of flowers in my hand, curtesy of Beakhyun.

11:23, I was early, anything to get away from the loud boys that were stationed in my house right now. I leant back, my back against the backside of the bench and my face up to catch some sunlight.

I had noticed I was getting a bit paler, together with looking thinner. I wore one of the hats I found in a bottom drawer of my closet, just to hide my hair. I decided for normal jeans and a white shirt, maybe it would be less apparent to how pale I had gotten.

My pants had a wet spot on the knee, where the flowers were leaking the water from the stems. I ignored it and enjoyed the sun a bit more, opening my eyes when it suddenly got blocked. My eyes were squinting to see who it was, but I shot up when I recognised them.

"Mei! Hi" I grinned excitedly. She smiled and me and took the flowers from my outstretched hand.

"Yellow roses? I didn't think you'd actually remember?" She giggled awkwardly and smelled the flowers shortly. I frowned a second before covering it with a smile.

"Of course I did" I admired her beautiful frame in front of me. "You look pretty, shall we go?"

"Sure, lets" she smiled and we walked inside the small cafe behind us. I smiled as I saw Jin standing behind the counter. We waited in line, enjoying a bit of comfortable silence.

"What would you like to order?" Jin asked once it was our turn.

"A caramel macchiato please" Mei said as looked at the menu.

"Just a black coffee" I smiled and took out my wallet.

"Would you like anything to eat?" Jin noted our orders. I looked at Mei.

"Can I have a strawberry cake slice please?" She looked at me, as if she was asking for allowance. I just grinned.

"Anything for you sir?"

"No thank you"

"That'd be 11.500 won in total" I handed Jin the money and we went to find a seat and wait on our order.

"So how are you doing?" Mei strikes up a conversation. "You haven't been much at work lately"

"I-uh, there are some family issues going on" My smile lessened for a second until I saw some worry on her face. "Don't worry, it's not much"

"I'm just-" She got cut off by Jin's mother bringing our orders.

"One black, one caramel macchiato and one strawberry slice" she repeated our order and set it down.

"Ohh Taehyung! Nice seeing you again" She smiled and went off to serve other customers.

"As I wanted to say, I am worrying, you don't look as... I don't know, lively?" Her statement sounded more like a question as she tried to find the words.

"Don't worry please, I'm doing fine" as if on cue I felt something dripping down my nose and a shocked expression came over Mei's face.

"Oh my god!" she grabbed a paper napkin from the table and tried to stop the bleeding.

I calmly took the napkin from her and closed my nose with my hand. Why do they always have the worst possible timing?

"Don't lie to me Tae, are you really okay?" Her face got serious.

"It's just the heat, I'm okay, please" I tried to calm her down a bit. She nodded hesitantly and took a sip of her drink.

"Excuse me for a second, I'm going to wash my hands real quick" I smiled at her and stood up from my seat to walk to the counter.

"Where's the bathroom?" I asked Jin.

"A bloody nose again?" Jin frowned and pointed behind the counter. "Come"

I followed him and he showed me the bathroom. I thanked him and washed the blood off my hand, still holding my nose with the other.

"There's something wrong with your hai-" Jin suddenly stopped with a gasp. I turned around to see him hold a large strand of hair. I gulped as he stared at me. I grabbed the fallen out hair and threw it away quickly.

"Don't tell anyone" I warned him and continued washing my hands.

"Taehyung what's going on?" He asked softly. I sighed and leaned against the counter, not looking up at him.

"It's nothing, I'm fine" I tried pathetically, even though I knew he wouldn't fall for it.

"The truth"

"That is the fucking truth!" I turned around with a swing. His hand suddenly outstretched and pushed the hat from my head.

"Oh my-" Jin put his hand in front of his mouth, just staring. I grabbed my hat back and replaced it on my head quickly, avoiding his gaze.

"Taehy-" "this stays between us, you hear me" I warned him. He nodded slowly as he looked into my threatening eyes.

"If you'll excuse me, I have a date to attend" I lost the glare and walked back to the front, going to sit back in my seat. Mei was on her phone texting someone.

"You're back" she noted as I sat down in front of her, I nodded and looked down at my now cold coffee, I didn't want it anymore. I noticed she had already finished her food.

"Let's take a walk?" I proposed, to which she nodded. We left the cafe, I ignored the everlasting gaze of Jin.

We held a small conversation while we walked towards the small park in the middle of the city. I noticed I was sweating a bit, Mei could also probably see it, but she said nothing.

"I need to tell you something, because this isn't fair to you" She suddenly pulled me to the side to sit on a small bench.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I-I like you" she started, I smiled. "As a friend"

A frown quickly replaced it and I looked at her for explanation.

"Taehyung, I have a boyfriend" she held her breath, as if expecting me to blow up in anger.

"O-oh, I-uhh, congrats?" I tried to answer through my surprise. "I-I mean that's g-good right?"

"I'm sorry, I just felt like I was leading you on, a-and I really do like you, but on a platonic level." She smiled guiltily and went to stand up. I quickly stopped her from walking away.

"T-that's fine, we can still hang out, as friends, right?" I waited for her answer. She smiled at me and nodded.

"Thank you for understanding" she gave me a short hug and we continued walking around.
