Chapter 27

Third P.O.V

Taehyung's body was rolled into the ambulance on a stretcher, barely breathing and motionless.

They let Beakhyun in the ambulance, speeding their way to the hospital. The boy could only watch as his loved one was reanimated, they kept Taehyung's heart going manually, pumping around his blood with every push on his chest.

Baekhyun could only watch in shock as they arrived at the hospital and Taehyung was pulled out of the ambulance.

"Do you have any medical background on the patient?" A nurse asked Beakhyun. He nodded silently and got a small pass from the wallet in his pocket. He, Chanyeol and Jungkook carried it around, depending on who Taehyung was with.

It had his name, socio-fiscal number, blood type, age, illness, allergies, whether he was a donor or not, and whether to reanimate or not.

The woman thanked him quickly and ran after the doctors who had carried the boy into the ER. Beakhyun could only wait in the waiting room, until they had put him on life support.

Baekhyun had contacted his husband, telling him to come to the hospital as soon as possible. He had also called Jungkook, who only picked up his phone on the third try.

"Come to the hospital, right now" Baekhyun told him. Without saying anything, Jungkook had hung up on him. He quickly texted Jimin to bring the others, not having their number saved in his phone.

It didn't take long before the doctor came out, telling him that Taehyung was moved to room 105, where he was on life support. Baekhyun nodded and rushed to the room.

He couldn't say he was a shocked as he saw his friend, family even, laying on the bed. It seemed like Taehyung's condition had suddenly become a lot worse. His skin so pale, uneven breaths, his arms so thin an fragile. His face was skinny with hollow cheeks and sunken eyes. It scared Beakhyun to know that this could very well be the end.

He sat down on the chair besides the bed, grabbing Taehyung's hand tightly and not letting go. He held it against his cheek, the limb cool against his skin.

Not even five minutes later, Chanyeol had entered the room, panting and sweating. He sat besides his husband, only to see Taehyung's eyes open.

"Hyung" he croaked, voice slightly muffled by the oxygen mask. His head fell to the side, watching them with tired eyes.

"Hey sweetie" Baekhyun tried to smile at him through his tears.

"Don't cry" Taehyung paused. "It's.. alright"

"I know, We love you" Baekhyun kissed the knuckles of the hand he was holding. Taehyung smiled at them tiredly.

"Tae!" Jimin shouted as soon as he and his friends walked in.

"Hey" Taehyung responded softly.

"Don't worry you're going to be alright" Jimin sobbed. Taehyung said nothing.

"Where's... J-jungkook?" He asked slowly, almost out of energy.

"He's coming Tae, don't worry" Yoongi stood at the end of his bed. Jimin was pulled into a hug by Jin, sobbing in his chest as the elder held him. Tears were streaming down his own cheeks as well.

"Don't cry" Taehyun breathed out. Almost going unheard. "I'm...ready"

"Where's Jungkook?" Chanyeol asked Baekhyun, but he only shook his head.

"Tell him" Taehyung breathed heavily. "I love him"

"No Taehyung, you can do t-that, just hold on a little longer." Chanyeol told him, holding onto Baekhyun tighter.

"I'm tired" Taehyung could only mumble. "I'm ready"

The hart monitor stopped, a long beep sounding as Jeon Taehyung flatlined. His heart had stopped beating, he stopped breathing. Peacefully, as his mind started to replay his memories like a dream, one last time.

"No, no, please" Baekhyun cried, squeezing in the boys hand.

Nurses came in, almost ready to reanimate until Chanyeol shook his head to stop them.

Hoseok pushed past the nurses, running down the hall with tears streaming down his face. He couldn't process what just happened. He had to breathe.

He walked out the hospital, catching his breath. Before him stopped an ambulance, and he watched numbly as a body was carried out of the van on a stretcher, a white sheet over it.

"Name?" A nurse asked.

"Jeon Jungkook, car crash"

Hoseok's heart sunk at that moment, he cried out.
