Chapter 8 : Family Reunions and New Members

Frosch and Lector flew into the guild on a bright morning. For once Frosch didn't get lost on their way there, luckily Lector held his hand not wanting to take any chances.  When they entered they flew to Juvia and Sting at the bar.

"Hello guys!" Juvia greeted cheerfully petting Lector and Frosch's head.

The exceeds didn't get a chance to reply as Ski flew by, muttering bitterly "You're cheating on me with them?"

"No! Juvia would never" Juvia said sweat dropping. Ski simply hmped  and flew to another end of the guild "Ah that girl"

"You see Frosch that's cleavage" Lector said pointing to Juvia's chest. "Repeat"

"CLEAVAGE! CLEAVAGE!" Frosch said for his friend.

Juvia covered her chest even more and walked over to Kaylanie for help. She only stripped down more and began a speech on how women should love their bodies and feel no shame.

Sting and Rogue walked over to their exceeds "Heard you guys were going on a mission?"

"Really? Juvia finds that very brave of you" Juvia said after forcing Kaylanie to put her clothes back on.

"Yep! This one" Lector pulled out a paper. The words Cat-eater and DEATH  were written in large characters.

"Frosch read cat in this flyer!" The frog-exceed exclaimed. Lector high-fived him with pride.

The humans turned around and spoke in hush voices.  "Is 'cat' the only word they can read?" Juvia asked fearfully.

"Huh they should know more normally. Even Frosch isn't that stupid" Sting said receiving a hit to the head by Rogue "Sorry sorry"

They turn around simultaneously  after the small talk "Hum, Frosch, Lector could you do a job for Juvia instead?"

"Does it involve cats?"

"Sure" Sting answered for her without hesitance.

"Then we'll do it!"  Lector announced proudly, paw raised in the air.

"CLEAVAGE!! Frosch thinks so too!" Frosch cheered, his tail waving around excitingly.

After taking the word cleavage out of Frosch's already limited vocabulary, Juvia went with Sting and the cat duo back to the house while Rogue stayed in search of Levy.

When they arrived Juvia pointed to some eaten up squash on the outskirts of their home. "For the past week, something has been eating Juvia and Levy's squash. Can you find out who is behind it?"

"We're on it!" Lector gave her a salute. The cat duo activated their wings and flew into the forest with determination.

"Does Sting think they can handle this mission?" Juvia asked already worried for her small friends.

Sting shrugged "I guess so, not like you haven't been in that forest yourselft right?"

Juvia bit her lip avoiding eye contact with the blond, Sting raised an eyebrow and sighed "How can you just not explore the forest around your house?"

Juvia shrugged her shoulders and gave him a blank look. "Whatever they'll handle themselves.  What's for lunch then?"

"Whatever they bring back..." Juvia answered

"Seriously? "

"Of course Juvia is. She will skin that beast for destroying Levy's squash" Juvia said before turning around and walking back up into the house. Sting shook his head playfully and followed her in.
